  2. OK every aspect of this project is now complete. I have shot it from every angle and tried a few close ups to show work. It is hung in an art room I have to look at stuff on the wall to study if it's right. Usually I kid around but here's the skinny......Homer Watson is one of my fav. Canadian Artists but Clarence Gagnon is also there. I have one Gagnon print I've been hauling around forever and this piece lends itself to that style. It's been a long road. This posting may take a bit Bushart
  3. This is a tough one cause it's not just GM it's the parts---the tires--the dealers--the steel ind etc. Frank Stronach was in Ottawa yesterday showing his electric car ready to be mass produced in 3 years---my opinion those billions maybe should have went Magna's way cause he's thinking about a MADE IN CANADA electric automobile. Those GM workers could maybe work there. Bailing out GM is the path of least resistance (believe it or not)--the Gov't does'nt have to think....new technology etc. It remains in office as angry laid off employees look elsewhere.--Not sure the forestry workers are thinking conservative now.---or the lobster fishermen--or the Sudbury miners or the steel workers or so on and so on... Finally--regarding investing in alternative fuels---the world is very much still driven on oil-----These companies have'nt invested trillions to be left on the sideline---GM helped them along for years. 4. Nothin better than browns in da backyard Bushart
  5. Hey, I went through the classifieds quickly and could'nt see a general tackle dealer. If there is one I'm trying to find someone with access to all Northland products (Jigs) for one of their items I cannot find in my area. Thanks Bushart
  6. You know this glass could be half full..... Think about saving on household A/C...and the trickle down environment--- Fewer waterskiers cause the cooler air temps...ehhh? Fish surviving better cause water surface temps are reasonable.. We all own sweaters and raincoats---what's a couple rusty hooks---keeps mustad in biz. Bushart
  7. Ok 1st I'm a sens fan so I am not biased. Been watchin this game since the leafs last won the cup and Experience says... Detroit right now is like a machine and handle the game like the 80's Oilers.. Everyone raves on and on about Roy and Brodeur but I think Osgood has more rings than Roy... Currently there is not another team (East or West) that measures up---I cannot believe it's all skill---some must be coaching cause the Swedish olympic team is not as crafty as these guys and there's a lot of Swedes on Detroit. They definetely got their mojo goin Bushart
  8. I personally practice catch and release hunting---that ought to make em happy Bushart
  9. Well Leechman I still cannot believe Pitsburgh beat Carolina (4 Straight) So I'm pickin Detroit---so according to my Pro-Line record-bet Pitts Bush
  10. Lets say it would have to be someone very special --cause it's a lot of work---antlers are touchy biz with mnr when it comes to selling them---I've been told by the mnr-- the value of the art must exceed the value of the antler Anyway at the end of the day your buying the artwork and the antler is free. If I understand correctly
  11. There is a major difference north and south of the 49th You American men can take up a survey with your fairer sex and You will learn that..... Canadians make better Lovers.....Hey look at our national Symbol (On the nickel) You can strive to do better---just tell me when and I'll call my broker and buy more Pfizer stock. Bushart
  12. Is there an echo on this board???
  13. Thanks Guys Like I said a while back it's tougher than it looks---you kinda have to have your picture flow with the curves in the antler. And the antler itself being full of vein ridges makes it extra hard to be precise---definetly takes more beer I need to acquire now a nice back wall plaque and attach them and it will be complete. I have a few more moose sets in the shed but I think I'll wait awhile befor I do another. Bushart
  14. Well Rex is a little more long winded than I am but I think we're saying the same thing---he is quite the wordsmith. My thoughts on P3TA are that there are no boundaries when it come to getting attention---they will do the most outlandish things for free press--much like this issue. I always take one step back when it comes to any group that is so certain that their point of view is the right one and everyone else should get in line---Self righteousness has gotten the world into more trouble than any single issue. Back to P3TA--they are a one issue marketing team---tearing at the heartstrings of the too busy to be informed crowd--all's we need is a baby animal to cry on que. It's the same theory as Michelin having babies in their tire commercials---Don't you know that you don't love your children unless you have Michelins. Well It's not Rex worthy but that's my Take Meat eating Painter (Message to P3TA--I like my steak rare)
  15. I don't know Rick---It appears P3TA was the ones drawing ties between the GG, the Inuit and the east coast seal harvest. At face value I believe the GG was being respectful of the Inuit tradition and good on her. I believe many board members here would hesitate a raw taste of seal heart---She's got jam. I am honest and believe the east coast seal harvest to be just as part of our Canadian heritage as any of our Ontario hunting and fishing. We don't want to look to closely at other parts of our dealings with animals cause in My opinion some killing of horses for their flesh makes the seal hunt look like a childrens t-ball game--just fewer celebs involved. Bushart
  16. You know we all whine about the Gov't but what Michel Jean (SP) our Gov General did with the seal heart was right on. She did not buckle under P3TA pressure and had a chunk of raw seal heart. I don' do this often but she gets a lot of my respect and real big Atta Girl. Way to go Bushart
  17. Ok perviacs it's not a new John Hughes movie---I've been asked to give updates on the art project. Got the felt and rope/braid on skull cap---just need the back wall plaque and she's finis. Bushart
  18. Man Never seen that in over 40 years of anglin---looks like a bass mated with a sauger Bushart
  19. We're discussing this because it occured while someone was fishing.. but really.. jerkwater behaviour happens in all walks of life...everyday. This person sounds like the "school yard bully" and we've all seen them. I guess in a perfect world we would have caring/respect and tolerance for others but...think that it was only a few days ago young Mike's school was in lockdown. I wish I had the answer but in these days of rush/rush--make more $$$---live larger than your pocketbook--my job may not be there tommorow---have put stresses on all ---even though self inflicted. Anyway back to the story-----I've seen bullies all my life---I fear they will always be there in some format--If this were to occur again the proper thing to do is report to police. Confrontation would just escalate. Bushart
