-
I Bought my Smokercraft Pro-Tiller new in 96---run a 50 merc 4 stroker I cannot say enough good things about it-----and boy does it catch fish If your over 40 you'll remember the slogan for the Popeil Pocket Fisherman Seriously though--great boat Bushart

I think Ken is running his sale until the end of Jan or feb. www.arcticshield.ca
-
Nah...just ole shakey hands Bushart
-
It's all about outlook and priorities.... 1/ Ya wanna be a poser-----get a console 2/ Ya wanna go fishin and actually catch em.....get a tiller Seriously though....the smaller tinny will allow you into places that don't have a launch *****This ones kinda important**** I've seen guys that went to a 14 foot tinny---full carpeted floor--livewell etc----lets just say he still needed a launch cause you were not carrying that one. Bottom line--should have bought a big one cause he gained nothing more than mileage---if your going lite---keep it lite or why bother. Bushart

Well these belong to Leechman ---when I mail em. They'll need varnish (Better than my art varnish-to hold up to fish) and hooks and eyes---anyway--they may be one of a kinders cause it's not gonna be very cost effective for selling at the speed I paint at. Something different to try though. Bushart
-
Well Leechman has been hard at it spinning out wooden fishing lures. I asked if I could take a shot at painting a pattern on them ----basically cause I never have tried it. I tried 4 different things that I've had success in fish catching so I went with those. Here they is.... 1. Purple Swirly (Diving Crank) 2. Snake in Da Grass (Spook style walker) 3. Frog Walker (Spook Style walker) 4. Fatboy (Diving Crank) Bushart

Hi Jacques, Fired you off a pm Bushart
-
Hey Leechman, Only if you wish------If you have a bait that's ready for paint---drop one in the mail to me and I'll take a crack at painting one and I'll send it back to you. A diving bait would give more detail than say a suick (usually mono color with spots) Anyway it'll give me something different to do. If interested pm me and I'll give you my postal address Bushart

lets talk conservation areas private properties
bushart replied to vinnimon's topic in General Discussion
Man you need to call the cops Seriously I don't think the landowner is a member here reading your concerns. Been a legal gun owner for 33 years and I'm real sure no where is it legal in Canada to address trespassing--gun in hand --or any reason for that matter. Bushart -
Hey Leechman looks good Do you varnish those after painting?--Just wondering how they hold up with the acrylic paint under water? How bout this for a one time idea----maybe you can carve an indentation into a side and glue some of that reflective tape that comes in so many kinds? Probably only need to indent the thickness of tape--to make it all streamline. Looks good Bushart

what I described burns wood--not hydro Bushart

Loblaw's should know better than to pee off an old man
bushart replied to Big Cliff's topic in General Discussion
Take no prisoners Cliffy Take this to the very top banana---You Know Bob Bob Loblaw. Groooaan---c'mon if I did'nt do it someone else would of Bushart -
How bout this one If your burning wood already and it's not your principle residence (Where wood gets to be a pain) I believe It was made by Napoloean when I looked into this once It's a fireplace (looks and all) not a woodstove and you build a wall behind the front and there is several forced air supply outlets that you can hook your ductwork up to Basically it's a warm air plenum behind---just looks like a fireplace in front--looked kinda cool Little different spin on a forced air wood furnace Bushart

Cool Picture, I wish I had come up with that idea to paint it. Merry Christmas Bushart

Kinda reminds me of my old girlfriend... Bushart

I'm saying the $$$ is too much. *****This Is Key***---Don't buy any Used boat without putting in the water---are you able to do this in your area-this time of year? I think you can shop around----you may find a better deal in the spring when people are trading in for new models. Downriggers and electronics can always be installed by you on another craft. Bushart

Insane ice fishermen...from Canada of course!
bushart replied to bigfish1965's topic in General Discussion
I also have received this one several times in the last week and every time it brings back the memory of the news story from many years ago from Lake Simcoe. Apparently at that time a bunch of buddies had rented 2 huts on Simcoe----I understand that one person thought he could slip into the water in his hut and swim over and pop up in the hole of the other hut----never made it. Maybe I'm just an old time worrier but I'd hate to think some young person would believe that sub-ice swimming is a good idea under any reason. I just wished they had'nt made this video clip---or it should at least come with a disclaimer. Apologies for being a wet rag here boys. Bushart -
I'd be thinkin that a guy with your photography skills could have bulked up that picture a tad. Bushart
-
Maybe price that 115 Yammy new (Which that one nearly is)---that will benchmark your price---boat is creapin up on 10 years old. 20 maybe top end in today economy---that homework will tell you though Bushart

Well Anybody believing that these positions will be going to a fresh out of college kid who still recovering from their last frat party is outta touch. There are individuals who are more than likely "In House" who have been part of the CO process for some time who will advance to this level. This public posting will be made for a few reasons...Politically correct.....written in contract to do so....possibility of Super CO being brought in from other areas. A reason (I would prefer) they hire a seasoned person is they come with life experiences and common sense (works for cops too) Yes they go by the book but realize not all situations are created equal and can make sound judgements accordingly. RE: Dream Job--------Forget It----the only thing that may give you your fishing/hunting fix is that you'll be posted possibly in remote areas (Hope your spouse is on board for Pickle Lake) Yeah my buddy is a CO---seems happy---not for me though Finally I cannot believe this thread went to $$$$$----65 g's is modest in todays society---especially for this job--if you believe this is about driving a boat around on a nice summers' day checkin licences---one really needs a reality check.
