  1. You want something that will do the job when your not home and that would be a water driven back up sump pump "IF" you have city water. I put one in about 4-5 years ago and it works just like it was design to do. I did it myself for under $200 back then. http://www.zoro.com/i/G0490987/?utm_source=google_shopping&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=Google_Shopping_Feed&kpid=G0490987&gclid=CKCR8_nih8ICFZPm7Aod9g0Ajg
  2. I know many here only trying to help but most is dated to say the least. We go at least once a year if not twice.......been there about 14-15 times. Not sure what your budget is but almost every hotel on the strip plus many in downtown now charge you resort fees up to $25 plus taxes on top of the already agreed price you have with your initial reservation. DON'T......I repeat DON'T make any reservations with any third parties like Expedia or Travilocity because you cannot cancel and rebook at a cheaper price like you can when you make a res with the hotel direct. It is MUCH better to use a taxi to most hotels then a shuttle if there are 2 or more of you. I personally think all the Circus act in Vegas are BORING....you seen one you seen them all. But so many other shows to see depending on what you like. If you stay at the high end hotels you will be paying high end for everything including almost all restaurants. We really like MGM Grand but the prices of the food in there restaurants is way out of our league lately. I would recommend Harrah's for the first time as it VERY reasonable and right at mid strip........hotels like MGM and Ceasars are HUGE HUGE HUGE and take up to 45 minutes to walk to the strip from your room. We love Vegas and love to talk about it so don't hesitate to PM or use this means to contact us as we have MANY other tips to pass on............like who has the best pools, restaurants, cheap food, how to get free drinks at the bar and what shows to see and not see. Not to mention some of the best forum sites to ask many questions......just like this on. BTW you will go back and you don't have to gamble a dime to enjoy yourself.
  3. Using your mirrors is fine, but saying if you can't see your trailer you're going straight back doesn't cut it when you're backing down a steep ramp and the trailer disappears and now you don't know if you're going to hit the dock you can't see or the front of your truck might hit a wall as you make adjustment.
  4. OH, that sounds a bit racist.......LOL
  5. A gentle weave back and forth works for me, seeing the right then the left boat fenders. I also look at the dock as a guide point. I only want to be about 1-2 feet from it.
  6. Just stay away from Bridgestone tires if you want to get some decent mileage out of them. Wearing out in 40k is way too fast after spending around $1000+ on tires. Other then that I love them.
  7. Some of the BEST largemouth fishing is right in DISNEY.....look up bass fishing at Downtown Disney.........no license or equipment needed but make sure you book a morning trip before all the water vehicles stir up the lake. They use pontoon boats and you can book either a half day or full day and they supply the refreshments for up to 4 people. Expect bass from 5-8 pounds. Catch and release ONLY. Or go salt water fishing.
  8. We have a 60" Vizio TV that use to power off by itself every so often. We would just turn it back on and it would be fine...........that went away by it's own but now every so often after we turn it off it turns back on about a minute later. We just turn it off again....WEIRD
  9. I have never had a problem testing boats by adding water to them, HOWEVER I only put between 1/4 to less then 1/3 full of water as you never need more then that to test for leaks. At this level all the pressure in on the bottom of the hull and not on the sides but that is more then enough to find leaks. If you have a floor the water should be all below the floor of the boat. But remember to support the trailer of the boat for all this weight. I use jack stand in 4 or 5 different places so not to put too much pressure on the axle, tires or even the trailer frame.
  10. Many many hotels now in the US have what they call "Resort Fees"......you book Hotel X for say $100 per night then add in taxes and it might be $112 total that you agree when you made the reservation via the Internet with either a third party like Travelocity or directly with the hotel. Then when you arrive you are notified that Hotel X has a DAILY $25 resort fee plus tax that allows you to use the wireless internet, use of the weight room and maybe a free USA paper. NO negotiating on this fee whatsoever. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr ! ! !
  11. How about a installing a automatic bilge pump AND a on-board charger that can be plugged in at dockside. Now you're protected against leaks and from the battery going dead.
  12. Never did anything with my livewell, livewell pump or bilge pump for over 25 years and all is "well"
  13. Did my 60 hp E-TEC in the driveway the other day. Stabil has already been added to both tanks. Connected hose to outboard port on the back of the engine. Turned on the water, put throttle all the way up while keeping motor in neutral, start motor and run 15 seconds, now put throttle all the way down and run another 15 seconds. You can observe the check lights going through it's testing while doing this. Now return the throttle all the way up and engine RPM's will increase somewhat. Engine will run for about 1 minute and shut itself off. The engine is now fogged and ready for winter storage. See here.......... But of course a check on the lower unit oil must be done too. I also grease ALL zerk fittings on the engine and also do the wheel bearings. One more thing, I add moth balls to each compartment AND under the engine hood. I use small plastic bags with holes cut in them to hold the moth balls. Next week I will take the boat to it's indoor winter resting place. They allow me to keep the boat plugged in so no need to remove the 2 batteries as I have a on-board charging system to maintain my power sources. Total cost under $10 especially since I already have the Stabil and grease on hand.
  14. Don't move to a country unless you are prepared to adopt it, treasure it and protect it. That is all we ask.
  15. OMG............hope he kissed you before he screwed you.
  16. And be thankful that you didn't need any real repairs done on your boat/motor/trailer.
  17. X2.......gotta love the E-Tec and they are made in North America.......I hope the OP gets half his money back today.
  18. Get a real tow vehicle like a 4X4 Pickup Truck and be done with it.
  19. 1/8, 1/4 and 5/15 jigs........my favorite are bullet heads, followed by round heads with 6# test line on a light or med light 6' 6" spinning rod.
  20. Too many variables to answer. How deep of water, current or no current. line diameter, drifting or no drifting and if drifting how fast or is it a controlled drift. Color of the water (stained or not, muddy or not). And then are you fishing weeds or rocks or the transition area not that it's fall.
