  1. Then you MUST watch "Fargo".......it's on Netflix if you have it.
  2. OK........I remember many moons ago attending the Canadian Ballet at King Eddy's..... Ya, the arrows I'm not sure of either......maybe some other nutcase will chime in....LOL
  3. Anyone here see the movie "Fargo".........it's a dark comedy........very good movie... But anyways it's in Fargo, ND and it's winter time......always snowing, etc..... At the end of the movie the Russian finally gets caught by the pregnant sheriff and she has him cuffed and in the back seat of the car while she's driving them down a empty road in what's basically white out conditions.......and she says something like "you ruined your whole life and look, it's such a beautiful day"....Ya.......
  4. I remember it (might not be right) when he learned Bubba Gump Shrimp was now a successful million dollar business and he said, good just one less thing to worry about. I had the Google police do a check on you and you cleared all investigations so the Grand Prize is yours and will be delivered "tomorrow" ! ! !
  5. Give this man the GRAND PRIZE..........a new 2015 Ranger Boat......or did you google it ? ? ? If you didn't cheat, expect your new boat in 6-8 weeks delivered to your door....
  6. There you go MB2........."just one less thing to worry about".............anyone know the movie where this quote came from ? ? ?
  7. I've have the complete opposite experience on getting out fishing on Erie....was a excellent year fishing wise and just about every time (a lot) that I planned to fish we fished. Not many trips at all cancelled because of high winds. Weather now (winter) seems about normal to what it was when I was a kid (long time ago). However, last year and this year seems more harsh I believe because before last winter we had about 5 years of MILD winters and were getting use to them and I believe we were starting to expect them (mild winters). Also the constant "bad weather coming" reports on TV / radio have folks worried a lot more then 30-40 years ago. Back then we just took it on the chin that day, pick ourselves up and went to work / school that morning.
  8. My guess after he reported to the proper authorities they set up a sting operation with undercover swat teams hiding in the woods 24/7 and drone aircraft constantly flying overhead but still no results yet and that's why he's not reported back yet........LOL... My more educated guess is he reported it and they took down the report and that's it so far until he has more info for them because they have more important issues to deal with.......like where to stop for coffee way up there. Now back to our regular programming.................
  9. WE YOU LUCK.....
  10. Did anyone say "FRESH SUSHI"
  11. WOW...........Good Luck.
  12. When I looked up "very experienced" it did not mention you........however when I looked up "OLD" your picture came up....LOL....JK
  13. Actually old Lew has spoken against hooking up a on-board charger to the cranking / main battery. However, a few others including myself have posted that it really is a good idea. I never thought of the on-board computer systems now prevalent in today's modern outboards that could be a battery drain......good tip. I have a am/fm radio on-board that like a car radio has digital clock display that is ALWAYS on and over time can draw the battery down. And of course who knows if you have a battery drain/short somewhere in your boat's electrical system. As far a GPS antennas, my LMS 520c units work off the round disk antenna that Lowrance recommended to be installed with a separate on/off switch that I did install. This not only protects the battery but also protects the antenna from burning out because it's always on. I believe that was Lowrance's main concern because older units the 19c did not mention running a separate switch and may have caused these antennas to fail prematurely. Now almost all of the new units on the market have built in antennas that I'm sure are not activated when the unit is shut down.
  14. This is my point exactly........if you're looking for DEALS hang out at Cabela's bargain cave..........this year I got a $89.99 rod for $29.09 and a $69.00 reel $29.09 to match up with it......then another small reel for my perch fishing rod and again $69.99 for $29.09. Not quite sure why they mark things down to "29.09" but they do and I'm HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY when they do. BTW there was nothing wrong with reels and the rod had a VERY minor piece of cork chip on the handle that the reel covered up once mounted on the rod. Cabela's or BPS have everything these shows have to offer except for the JUNK booths I have no interest in......
  15. OK, I got to ask....what the heck does this mean.....especially with their clothes on ? ? ?
  16. Great choice...........that is the same one I have but it has Cabela's name on it......I love it. http://www.cabelas.com/product/Cabelas-Advanced-Anglers8482-ProSeries-On-Board-Marine-Battery-Chargers/1309718.uts?Ntk=AllProducts&searchPath=%2Fcatalog%2Fsearch%2F%3FN%3D%26Ntk%3DAllProducts%26Ntt%3Dbattery%2Bcharger%26Ntx%3Dmode%252Bmatchallpartial%26WTz_l%3DHeader%25253BSearch-All%2BProducts%26form_state%3DsearchForm%26recordsPerPage%3D80%26search%3Dbattery%2Bcharger%26searchTypeByFilter%3DAllProducts%26x%3D0%26y%3D0&Ntt=battery+charger&WTz_l=Header%253BSearch-All+Products
  17. Old Iron, you are starting to see the light......a on-board charger also hooked up to the starting motor is really the way to go to get the most out of your battery because it maintains it while it not in use. Another good tip is a battery tender for those who have ATV because how long they sometimes sit without being used. This charger is also equal to our boat on-board chargers because it initialization, bulk charge, absorption mode, float mode. I have this one from Cabela's. http://www.cabelas.com/product/Battery-Tenderreg/734156.uts?Ntk=AllProducts&searchPath=%2Fcatalog%2Fsearch%2F%3FN%3D%26Ntk%3DAllProducts%26Ntt%3Dbattery%2Bcharger%26Ntx%3Dmode%252Bmatchallpartial%26WTz_l%3DHeader%25253BSearch-All%2BProducts%26form_state%3DsearchForm%26recordsPerPage%3D80%26search%3Dbattery%2Bcharger%26searchTypeByFilter%3DAllProducts%26x%3D0%26y%3D0&Ntt=battery+charger&WTz_l=Header%253BSearch-All+Products
  18. WOW.....a lot of anger here.
  19. A proper set up of a trail cam several feet up a tree should not be noticed and should always be locked down as all mine are. Never lost one YET. And when it comes to protecting MY land, MY family and MY dog I don't coward down and "hope" someone else will take care of it. But everyone is different.
  20. The shows are great for the younger guys who are starting out or have limited years at fishing, etc.... For those who have vast knowledge and more gear then they know what to do, the show is just a means to get out of the house in mid winter and the cost is just not worth it to many. How many would go if the show was FREE and maybe a charge to park.....with what they charge each vendor to have a stand, enough is made from that alone and many more would attended.......but with corporate greed running a muck that will never happen.
  21. I also was going to suggest a trail cam to see who they are but I would also collect all the traps and secure them. When the those who set them can't find them they will be milling all around that area and your trail cam will definitely have many pics of them or better yet a video with sound as MANY cameras now do. A return of the traps is your option, but if it was me I would have them pay a fine to me for trespassing and for the pain your family dog went through. If they don't like those conditions, then call the police and turn the traps over to them so they can handle the matter.
  22. Who cares, I have had VERY good luck with refurbished products......actually never had one go bad....YET.
  23. HEY, how did you get a picture of my boat n babes....... I really like that look..........
  24. GOOD LUCK...with these conditions I hope all is well.
