I figured this is the best place to ask this... I am looking for a navy anchor... a specific one... we all know the orange painted anchor... great for general overall use, for varied bottom conditions etc... (available @ Canadian Tire etc....) I can find them just about everywhere... But they all have a ball and socket connection... which is garbage, as I know many a fisherman that has pulled the arm right out off the anchor.. But I still want this type of anchor! as they are great for mud and rock I know they make this style of anchor with a pin, but I cannot seem to find it anywhere! I know they make it because my Father-in-law owns one... There are no markings on his anchor except "Made in Canada" Can anyone help me locate this anchor with a Pin connection vs. a Ball and socket? Here is my ride.. 17' Polarkraft w/ 78" Beam These pictures are from when I took her our for a test drive.. as you can see she is bare bones I have been working on her and have done this to the bow section.... I have also added a trolling motor and the needed navigation lights This Spring I will be adding the back floor, new GPS, New Fishfinder and a stereo system After that my wife says I am done spending lol G

Rod, A bit of advice. It is ok to add a water softener. But do not add a reverse osmosis system as well if your house has copper piping. I know of alot of people that have done this (as an upsell on a softener package) Ohhh we are here already we will only charge you this $$.. Do not do it. the problem with reverse osmosis and copper piping is the water actually is cleaning your copper piping, you are drinking whatever is in the pipes from over the years. Do some Google research if so inclined... I will talk to a couple of our plumbing and mechanical contractors and see what they recommend as a middle to high end range unit. We install these into all our homes that are not on a major municipal water system. I will let you know. G

Really.... what do you think WFN is going to do? Pull a show over a couple people that email them saying "I dont like this show" Come on man, it is not like you are going to garner tens of thousands of people to bash down their front door... If you dont like a show dont watch it... Seems pretty simple to me. I am not understanding your motivation behind this, it is not like they are ripping you off in any manner or holding a gun to your head... If you dont like two shows that WFN is airing... big deal! walk away from the TV and go fishing! Better yet give me the address and email addresses to the people that make soap operas.. as I have a few words for them, taking up my wife's free time and all... they should be ashamed of themselves. I hope that it was not my post that took this thread to this end... I was just stating the obvious... I watch WFN ALOT.... and I watch FNC as well as Extreme Angler.... If it was not for Pete.... well I dont think I would watch it (FNC) to be honest... but that whole poser thing they did... well I changed the channel they were acting like a bunch of high school kids, high on Led Zepplin (Not that there is anything wrong with that) As for Extreme Angler, I do watch it. Why? Because they are contributing members of our forum (FNC is not) I do admit I do find it a tad loud on a Sunday morning etc. but they are OFC family. They deserve the same respect that everyone here gives Dave Mercer et al... They do give great information... are they intriguing a newer younger generation into our sport? I think they are!! and that is never a bad thing! we need more kids to take up fishing, or we will suffer the consequences... Sure the way the come across might not be paid for by BassPro Shops and Subway... but their message is just the same... (Sorry Dave) If you dont want professional fishermen on the board just keep talking the way you are... Gerritt.
