  1. If it works that is a good deal... but be sure to check the compression and the lower end... my bet is it would be difficult to find seals (??) if it does leak... also what shape is the impeller in? can you get a new one? But for 150.00 if a lasts a year or two you're ahead I figure.. Just be sure to have paddles or a radio incase of failure to be safe My bet would be late 60's, early 70's? Bernie might have a better idea when he sees this post... but it will be had to nail down the year without the model & serial.. G
  2. Very good question... After looking at a CTC catalogue I too am interested in the responses. G
  3. Looks old.. what are you picking it up for if you don't mind... if you could get the serial from him you can easily find it's year on the net.. G

We have alot of members of Asian decent here.. so I thought this appropriate, Given the massive natural disaster in China's most populated province, I hope that if you have family back home that they are safe an accounted for. Thousands dead, and more to come.. during the middle of the day.. 6 schools collapsed full of children.. It is with a sad heart that I hope all you're family are safe and well. Gerritt.

  16. Radnine... no need to leave because of a members post.... we all do not agree on 100% of the topics 100% of time... I do not think that Steve post was racially based... I just think he posted his opinion... and everyone here has one... while it may differ from you're opinion he is entitled to it.... and I do not personally see his post as offencive. His post refers to recent news articles of people being harrassed
  17. Trust me.. When we were working on it there was no beverages involved.. That said... I think I might have busted wire or a blown fuse... but it make little sense to me, as I had the same issue last year, but if I bent the harness (Old one) the right right way it worked.... Hence the confusion... But... the trailer works fine on the FIL's truck...... so I think it is on the truck end... Come to think of it, I replaced the harness last year as well on the truck side... Hoping to alleviate the issue I had last year... I am almost certain it is on the truck side.. but to pull the wire from inside the frame seems a bit extreme... I will be ok to get up for opener...perhaps I will have it looked at after that... G
  18. I have a 2002 F150...it is the tail lights and side lights that are not working... They worked last year... but after a couple trips I found the truck side had a short... if I moved it a certain way it would work... but if I hooked it to my FIL truck it was fine... as was the case today... Running lights worked fine... So I know it is not a problem with the trailer...(sorry my title does not reflect so) But I do have an issue between the truck and the trailer.. I followed the brown wire as far as I could... and no breaks to be found...... Having said that my FIL's harness on his boat has 5 wires... his also has a black wire on the trailer side... I am at a loss here.. might blame the beer at this point... LOL! G
  19. I am ready to pull my hair out... yeah yeah.. the little I have... anyways... I had a problem last year with the trailer lights.... seemed to be a short in the plug if I moved it a certain way I had running lights.. it was on the truck side it seemed... So I replaced the wiring harness on the truck today.. getting ready for opener on Nippising. Here is the issue.... I have right and left turn. I have brake.. but I do not have running lights, or side markers.. Now my thinking is it cannot be the Brown wire as the brake lights work... nor could it be the ground as everything else works... I have checked the wires, removing them from the "loom" in which they are incased... is there anything I am missing here? I put a volt meter on the brown wire and grounded it to the frame of the truck and there was no issue... again the brake lights work... Tail Lights and Brake Lights are on the Brown Lead.. Anyone have any bright ideas as to something I have missed??? G ( I should add I bought the trailer new last year with the boat, and everything worked as it should when I bought it)
  20. Hey Mav, Welcome to the team!!... PS since I figure you can outfish you're dad... I will add you to the tourney when it is my next turn up... you cool with that? Beginners luck and all is in our favour!! Congrats to you and the Mrs. definatly a keeper and cute to boot... judging by you're dad's ugly mug he has the look of his mother LOL!! Congrats guys! PS... The Bassinet is for the baby not you're manbag.. G
  21. Nope... no taxes or duty.. and they are shipping hundreds if not a thousand or so reel etc to Canada a month.. I assume it is because the border guards are not too concerned with a USPS item valued @ 129.00 to be honest I am not 100% certain... but I have never been hit with anything... other then a 2.00 handling fee (for packaging materials) and the actual shipping cost. about 7 bucks.. I am assuming NAFTA is the reason why there is no duty? even if a duty was charged.. it would still be a hell of alot cheaper to order from them if you're in the market for a Stradic etc... VS. your local gouger (tackle store) ... That said they are to market on some things... but it seems they are an absolute deal on ALOT of things compared to your usual places of doing business.. Give them a shot.. I bet you will be another OFC'r they can count on being a loyal customer... PS.. I am not affiliated with them in any manner.. I just shared my experience in dealing with them directly, Glad to see other OFC'rs are taking notice and saving their hard earned over taxed paychecks. Since my first purchase I have made 3 more.. nothing but positive things to say. Gerritt.
  22. I should add.... for those of you that like power pro... and are ordering a reel or rod anyways... I have not seen power pro at their prices... 9.00-14.00.... Might as well add it to your order G
  23. it is better then nothing forrest, and it gives people a chance (illusion) that their voice is being heard..... again... better then nothing... G
