  1. Nice job! We managed a few whities and 2 lakers jigging near BBP on saturday, pretty slow though and nothing huge, hopefully it picks up soon.
  2. you could fish the beaver with spinners or just bottom bounce roe and you might be able to get a steelie, lots of them in the beaver right now, can't say much for the bite but theres fish... Don't know about pike, theres good smallie fishing in the area when it opens though, depending on when you're coming from, you could try the notty at wasaga beach, i usually get a few pike down there but not too big (4-5 pounders). You could also try somewhere along the pretty river, tons of resident rainbows in there and will hit pretty much anything you offer.
  3. almost all my sinker packs and a lot of my lure packages say that lol.
  4. he screwed up ALOT and i highly doubt he will be re-elected for the choices he has made in the past, however, he has done waaay more for the city than any other mayor so.....he's got problems for sure but he did do good fore the city.
  5. depending on your town by laws you can store your boat on the drive way for more than 72 hours at a time. Our neighbour got bit**y about it and called the town office and they sent us a letter that we have to store it in the garage or get rid of it, this is in Newmarket.
  6. nice brownies and rainbows and a bonus crappie to boot! Thats a good day of fishing right there!
  7. thanks for the kind words guys! Yes that fish is one of the many small suckers that were annoying as heck!
  8. always get a receipt when giving a receipt or some sort of verification with the sellers signature so you can sue him if anything, i think you should be fine, if anything pay him a visit and see whats up.
  9. they were all different fish though?? The last two look the same but are different fish.
  10. Thanks guys, i got the waders at bass pro for 100 bucks, they were the only ones i saw that had the boots sewed on to the waders and were lace up and the reviews weren't half bad either! I don't have any complaints so far, I've owned them from last opener and they've held well, i got them online.
  11. Thank you! One spot was very crowded the other not a person, i saw 2 co's one checked us on saturday, my dad was digging around for his license in saturday and the co saw his trapping and firearms license sticking out and said thats enough for him to see that were not gonna be breaking any laws, haha. Today one just drove by and didn't check, lots of fish around, not quite as many as previous years but they certainly are hitting well!
  12. had a great opener, got out two days in a row, not a ton if fish but probably my best opener for numbers, they were very willing to hit after begin caught several times. Got my bud on his first so that was a nice bonus! Lots of ripped leaders and pi$$y periods but it was all good and worth it in the end, got some bruisers and got some that were fresh as if they were fall run fish. here are some pics:[/url[/url[/url[/url[/url[/url[/url
  13. lots of states trips, wyoming, Washington, Florida, Oregon, North and South Dakota and probably B.C. summer and fall trips, will be a nice tour. Other then that, the usual stuff, Bancroft, Algonquin, Minden, North Bay, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, etc. Most of them will be states trips though.
  14. yep, streamside is the best you can get for the money, their higher end tranquility rod can easily compare to higher end rods that cost 2-3x more! I would've gone a little shorter for the area you're fishing just cuz, if you fish the headwaters of those eastern creeks you will find it a little hard to manoeuvre the longer rod, you made a fabulous choice though and on the other hand you're good to go, if you wanna try some of the bigger faster flowing g-bay tribs!
  15. ok, there goes that plan, lol, thanks for the info.
  16. is anyone getting any panfish in fenelon? thanks.
  17. power pro braid and a fluro leader for the smaller fish just fluro, can't remember the brand but i think its some kind of trilene.
  18. yep, they're fun to catch, fight similar to pike
  19. the crappies are in but not in the spots where everyone fishes for them but thats kinda obvious, they are in small quantities, in some spots they are in larger quantities but up river from where the crowds are. The dogfish are in, in some spots as well if you're into that, i myself will be slaying the crappies in the trent/talbot are tomm.
  20. ok, thanks guys.
  21. Does anyone know if you can fuel the new ram 1500 eco diesel with ultra low sulphur diesel? thanks.
  22. thanks guys, ya that slush is the ice melting, not my first year ice fishing, haha. There is still a lot of black ice and a few inches of white, the problem is the launch, if i do get out ounce more it will be to my whitie lake up north.
