  1. I emailed them and told them I got one at sail off the warranty and they said that they are happy I was able to work it out and get a new rod, weird, must be different people writing lol.
  2. I did email them, they said pictures are not enough, I would have to send the rod in and they would not return it. I opted to check if I could get an over the counter exchange before sending the rod in and not seeing it until who knows when.
  3. Hey guys, just an update on the rod, went intointo the Vaughan sail and they said they don't have it in stock so they can't do over the counter exchange and they said they could ship it but were doubtful pure fishing would do something about it. Then I asked if they have the rod in stock in Etobicoke, they had 5 there so off I go. The nice lady at customer service got me a new rod absolutely no charge and took the old one, very pleased with the service at sail, not so much with pure fishing.
  4. the problem is its on warranty so they should do something, I will try, if they tell me to ship it, I might hold off but if they replace the rod I'll be happy, worth a shot right?
  5. Thanks guys, sent them an email, will see what they say. Worst case scenario I guess I'll just go over to sail this weekend and try for an over the counter exchange.
  6. Hey guys, so I was recently fishing with my Fenwick aetos rod and a guide broke off on me while I was reeling a small bass in. This rod was purchased at sail less than a year ago in Etobicoke. My question is, could I come to any store to discuss warranty, or does it have to be the same one? Also could I realistically get them to fix this rod for me or get me a new one or will they start making excuses and other crap up? Sorry for the questions, they may seem stupid but I've never done a return on a product at sail and this is an expensive to me product that I would like to get fixed, since it was not my fault.
  7. I've never had wind but have heard it is total crap, also if you are gonna be buying a new high end phone through them, you will pay nearly base price for it, due to cheap plans. Out of all the carriers I have been with (many) I have had the best service with bell, no problems with service or payments and you get what you pay for. I am now with Rogers because I wanted a high end phone for cheap on contract and pay 90 bucks a month for unlimited Canada, 500 min U.S. and unlimited text, picture/video message Canada/U.S. and 8 gb's of data, as well as call display, voicemail and all the other crap I don't really use lol. If you don't need amazing coverage or constant coverage in the U.S like I do, I would suggest telus, fido is also OK for local.
  8. Not closing anymore, the woman I find is less friendly than the other guy but she gives ALOT of minnows! The son is OK but the woman gives the most minnows, bucket full for 5 bucks, don't care who the person is honestly, just want to get as much minnows as possible lol. The lady is nice to me though, we've had a couple conflicts in the past but all good now.
  9. Ya, they get big, especially in that area, caught some of my biggest gobies there!
  10. Nice! Was this recently? I'm debating whether its worth it to burrow a small boat from a bud and haul it there (as if I took mine it would cost me 2 tanks each way) or just fish from shore. Is it really that much better from boat?
  11. the walleye population in the river isn't great and they're not big, people could be wrong but who knows, a walleye over 30 inches is huge and seeing more than 1 is very rare for the river, I did see suckers which could supposedly be mistaken for walleye, if you were on shore, you probably couldn't see them too well, they were splashing around right under the boat last weekend, lots of carp too.
  12. Lol, thanks for the info! When I was there 2 years ago it was very busy, I fished near the dam but it was literally shoulder to shoulder (no waders), won't make that mistake again lol.
  13. Thanks Roy! I was hoping that I'd timed it right! Would you say the bigger the better in terms of dart size for PIE-IX or no?
  14. And are you are they were walleye and not suckers or carp? Because there's tons of that jumping around.
  15. If it was a sea doo and on the other side of the falls with a Bimini top up than yes!
  16. No, American shad that come into the rivierea des prairies and Ottawa rivers I was told and apparently great eating and very aggressive fish.
  17. Yep, lol, not sure how to delete the other ones, mods if you can be so kind to remove the others it would be greatly appreciated.
  18. Hey guys, hoping to get out to Montreal in a couple weeks for some shad. I've been ounce at the dam and only got a couple and a crapload of walleye, because I was there too early I'm guessing. If anyone has any suggestions on how to properly fish then, if my timing is right or any other help, it would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
  19. From sturgeon? Very, they taste kind of like a bass/crappie mix, especially when fresh, not sure how they taste in other places, I've been told their not the best from lake O
  20. I fish off a boat, all over, I just look for a relatively quiet pool, where the current cycles around and anchor and jig em' up, they also hit cranks, spinners, spoons, pretty much anything as long as you find a school, filled up a big cooler full of them last weekend, big ones too.
  21. They're there now, just gotta go with a boat, I don't even bother from shore.
  22. Hammered them in sturgeon off the boat, biggest was 18" and tons of 17", good eating.
  23. Early June, you would be very lucky to get a speck or laker from shore, there is good shore fishing for specks along highway 60 in the spring but June, they'd be long gone. If I were you I'd wait for bass opener and go, tons of good bass spots from shore in Algonquin.
  24. I highly doubt the water temp is 0, you probably have something going on with your finder if its showing that temp.
  25. I usually troll body baits around dropoffs this time of year, should be fairly easy to tie into them, especially on Joe. If that doesn't work for you then try jigging minnows or spoons, always works, even in the summer. You have to play around with speed, baits, etc when trolling, its possible you were going too slow if you were hitting bottom a lot.
