  1. What a beautiful musky. Congrats on your 2nd 50 of the season. Well done.
  2. There are still lots of weeds but not as bad as earleier in the year. The water is really high still. The bass have lots of hiding places due to the high water. They seem to be hanging tight to the shoreline in the slop because of the higher water levels. In previous years weve caught bass all over the lake. This year it seems they are tucked away. Just gotta find em. Pike are everywhere though.
  3. Decided to try our luck at Mountsberg today. We caught a ton of pike and this beautiful largie. He engulfed my buzzbait. Didnt even have to set the hook. Not sure how big. Im guessing about 4 lbs maybe more. Its hard to believe that this little body of water has so many fish in it. Its always a good day there. Enjoy.
  4. Why did you have to post this? Just joking. Im so home sick now. Looks like a great time. Great post and pics. No place like the rock. Too bad we can't live there.
  5. Great post GCD. I wish it was that hot up here in Canada. Our weather has sucked the last month. Those critters look mighty yummy too. Good luck on your next adventure.
  6. Thats a beauty fish. Congrats.
  7. Those are beauty pics. Way to go man.
  8. Great job young fella. Ill second that no matter what technique you use patience is the biggest factor along with confidence. Keep it up.
  9. I wish I had those waldos in my frying pan right now. Great job guys. Great report.
  10. Great report leechman. Looks like a great day on the water. Do you eat the catfish? They look nice and clean. Thanks for posting.
  11. I would try titanium leaders for smaller lures. If your throwing bigger lures use fluoro. The titanium is thin and flexible and great for pike. They are expensive though but i think there worth it. Go with seaguar premier fluoro. Its great stuff.
  12. We were there yesterday and caught about 30 pike. There are lots of pike in there. All you need is some type of spinnerbait. Top water is fun too . Poppers or buzzbait is a real hoot. No largies yesterday. We saw a couple but only targeted them them for about 20 mins. The pike action was hot so we stuck with that. We were in boat as well. You will be able to cover more water like that. Its also a great place to take a kid fishing.
  13. Awesome report guys. Those are some big bass.
  14. Way to go bill. You deserve it. All your hard work has finally paid off. Thanks for posting.
  15. Thanx for the response leechman. It took 9 hrs of casting to convince these buggers. Sometimes its very frustrating. The two guys that went with me had one follow each but no hooked fish. They never gave up though. Thats what it takes. I can't wait to do it again. Too bad gas is so expensive.
  16. After working a long day yesterday I decided to do some musky fishing today. On the water by 9:00am and the conditions were perfect all day. I saw three fish and boated all three. I had a great day. The fishing gods smiled upon me. Enjoy.
  17. The shimano cardiff is a decent reel for the price and it casts great. I find when tossing ski baits on my zillion and advantage will pull drag when you set the hook, even when its tight. The cardiff has tons of power and a 5.8.1 ratio. Ive had one for 3 yrs now and its still kickin. Good all around reel with tons of power.
  18. Musky.
  19. Your kid is a walleye master. Great pics and report. You must of had a great time. Thanks for posting.

  23. That moment must have been priceless. Great job on the bass little man. He must of had a riot. Great to see you and your son having a great night fishing together. Great job.
  24. It wouldn't be the 1st time I went swimming from your boat. Maybe you should get some goggles so I can save your lure.
  25. She was 42 inches. My biggest so far. I was smiling for the rest of the day. Now I want a 50.
