  1. Standing on shore, weeping quietly, as I watch everyone going out in their boats. *sigh*
  2. So I guess it is safe to say that Michael J. Fox doesn't use 10 X 50's?
  3. Ahem, Gobies are not a species that one brags about the size of.
  4. Marine grade, by definition, has no voids, and is glued with a waterproof adhesive. So, I think pine could work as well. Those who know more, please correct me.
  5. A temper tantrum.
  6. Lumber - Turkstra on KIng George.
  7. This dealer and i sat in church together last Sunday, he knows what I am looking for and he knows my budget. I am confident that he would give me sound advice, that is how he developed the reputation he has.
  8. It was ridiculously priced and I got an opinion on value from a very reputable Lund dealer in Hamilton.
  9. No, it is a 3 hour drive to get to it so i am not going to commit to that drive in my tow vehicle unless I am certain it will be worth while.
  10. It appears that the deal will not be happening as the seller and I are at odds on the value of the boat. Onwards and upwards.
  11. Would the transom be able to handle the extra weight?
  12. Hirk, check your PM's.
  13. Precisely what I said, the boat i am looking at is not the one you pointed out to me, (thanks by the way, but over budget unfortunately), and the one I am looking at does have the 115 on it.
  14. It's not, and it does have a 115
  15. Thanks for the responses guys.
  16. It is a Lund 1775 Tournament Pro V not an IPS hull, with a late 90's vintage Mariner 2 stroke that is north of 100 HP. Side console with bow mount trolling motor. Has anyone fished this type of hull and if so, what are your thoughts on the boat? Thanks.
  17. I talked to a marine mechanic that I trust implicitly, and he said that I dodged a small caliber bullet. The motor on this boat was quite unique, it was a dual prop Yamaha and apparently if anything goes wrong with the lower unit, it is very expensive to repair. So, there's that.
  18. If there is one good deal, there will be another. However, this was a nice rig!
  19. So I have had my eye on this boat for the past four days, contacted the seller and made arrangements to come by and view the boat. Went up to the area on Friday that the boat was at, (north Kawarthas) to help out a buddy with changing out his house water pump. Spoke with the seller thursday evening indicating that would like to come Friday morning or Sat afternoon to look at the boat. Friday didn't work for the seller so Saturday it is. Confirmed the meeting Saturday morning and went for a 3 hour fishing trip. While enroute I tried to get ahold of the seller to get the address and when he finally answered he told me the boat just sold. To make matters worse, as I was continuing my drive home grumbling and complaining to myself, I saw the buyer towing the boat that I wanted to buy. IT WAS SWEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So if you just bought a Skeeter today and some fool was leaning out his window and giving you the finger....that was me. The joys of Kijiji.

    Pontypool

    Thanks a lot guys gentlemen!
  21. Does anyone know the closest launch to Pontypool? I want to lake test a boat. Tomorrow or Saturday.
  22. Darn onions... Very moving. I really admire your artistry Ryan. Thank you.
  23. It's about &^*(*&)(*&*&%&$&^%$ time, Kelvin! Enjoy yourself.
  24. That will snap the exhaust manifold, but crush the exhaust pipe. A sawzall (battery powered) will cut through the bolts attaching the exhaust system to the manifold easily.
