  1. I tried for carp on the weekend as well but they were spawning. All you can ehre and see were carp. Hopefully the'll be done by the end of them month so I can get the first big one of the year. Nice report guys, and wtg on the fish.
  2. The weather this weekend was absolutley perfect for fishing. So Me my bro in law sister and dad decided to take a trip down to Dunnville and get some eyes. There was lots of people fishing down thier. We got there around 4pm on Saturday and the action was none stop, but the only problem was the catfish and sheephead would be on the other end of the line. I don't know how the walleye are supose to feed when those dam sheephead and catfish smash everything before you can even put your rod down. Brother in law with a couple catfish. Night rolled around and we thought the wallys would start biting but yet again more catfish and sheephead. Then my brother in law is reeling in what he thought was a sheephead and it turn out to be the first and only eye of the day. Sunday rolled around and they were calling for rain so we went down again thinking there was going to be no people because of the rain. We get there it was overcast and lots of people again. More of the same action as Saturday. Although we saw alot of people catching walleye of the top of the bridge. And a guy beside me caught a couple walleye on shrimp!! It started to get real dark and we could see the dark clouds coming off Erie and it looked like they were heading our way. So I changed my jig coulor upand gave it a few more casts looking for that big wally and hook into something but not big. Turned out to be the only walleye of the day as well. Turned out to be a pretty fun weekend even tho we caught the crap fish and small walleye, all fish were released to swim another day. Thanks for reading my report. Here's a few more pics One of my bigger sheephead Small eye
  3. I mostly use minnows and jigs. Walleye divers work well but there are a tone of snags in the grand and it can get quite expensive. If you need help on grand river walleye head down to Dunnville and go to Fishmaster's, he'll hook you up.
  4. Great report, too bad you couldn't hook into some walleye but it still sounds like you had a pretty good day. I'll be fishing the grand Saturday night for some eyes. I'll post a report and let you know how I did. Thanks for sharing!!

  14. Nice report and happy belated b-day. And I've also had the same lcuk with carp down there. But We usally fish it at night. We've tried corn, bolies, worms and nothing. The only fish we manged to catch was a bunch of rock bass and a bunch of silver bass. Seen the carp spawning all over those shorelines and some of them were monsters. Here's a pic of the silver bass
  15. All my carp this year have been caught on circle hooks. Tried it out at a trib when I already had a small circle hook tied on to my line and didn't feel like tying a diffrent one. I Put on a few kernels of corn and toss it in. The carp tug the line set the hook and never had a problem.
  16. Great report Photoz. I was at the same place at the harbour last night we fished to about 4am and had a few hits but none on. We seen groups of 15-20 of them chasing eachother around that small little point and all over the shorelines. It was neat to see but after several hours of trying to get them to bite we called it quits. We seen a few of them that were pushing the 40lb range, now if only they could bite.
  17. Those are some sweet shots. Good to hear you hooked into some fish, wtg nice report.
  18. Dam that is one fat fish, wtg guys. And most of the time when I read a carp report, you guys are always mentioning the bite alarm. What exactly is it? Just curious
  19. That does suck, it has happened to a few of my spots as well. But were just lucky we have no asian carp here yet!!!
  20. Sweet pike, did you manage to snap a pic with the OFC sign?
  21. The small ones can be fun too, and they sure do have some nice coulors. Nice report, really enjoy reading them. Keep em coming
  22. Black flies are really bad up thier. We used the Off spray for them and it didn't do anything. If your going to be spedning a couple days there you should go to walmart or crappy tire and buy one of those smoke bomb things for blackflies or ask someone what works the best.
  23. Nice carp, any idea of the wieght on that fish?
