  1. I also have a dropshot rig that is a beauty to use. It's a Loomis dropshot Series 6'6" DSR8225 with a 2500 Shimano Saros loaded with 8 pound berkley fluoro. Its a surprising ly good cranckbait rod as well
  2. Amazing, she doesnt seem to be malnurished either!
  3. My favorite now is a Loomis Crankbait series MH with a 200 Curado and30 pound power pro. Braid gives me that feel and the extra fast tip on the Loomis slows my hooksets long enough to let the fish get it better, also the extra fast tip absorbs the shock so you dont pull the bait out. If anyone has the money I urge them to get this outfit, it really will ioncrease your crankbait scores.
  4. Cleaning 300 fish is my version of hell!
  5. That was a great game to watch! It had everything in it, great goals, big hits , big saves, controversial calls and 2 last minute goals!
  6. In-Fisherman , Bassmaster and MuskyHunter, but I have had it with the Doug Stange Swimbait article in every In-Fisherman for the last 5 years!
  7. Two things I have found essential are a good floater suit, and a nice powerful foot controlled bow mount electric trolling motor.
  8. Have to go Colts 31 -21 Colts have a very underestimated defence, which I see as the only main dif between these two teams.
  9. " Combined with reduced stocking, the ministry remains cautiously optimistic these results will indicate increased natural reproduction " I hope they dont use this aa an excuse to simply reduce stocking to save money, I smell someting "fishy" since this is the same bunch that says the lake is eutrophicating and will not be any good for cold water species.
  10. I love Phaneuf but how can this possibly help this team??????????????????? They cant score into an empty net! They need to get rid of Burke , they will soon have the lowest scoring team in leagus history!
  11. I have to second the Rapala Clackin Rap. Gave it many tries over prime deep weeds were I knew there were nice largies and 0. Would go back to a convential spinnerbait and bang, even tried traditinal cranks in the same spot also caught fish. Probably gave the lure 10 hours of honest use. I have a triple jointed Lucky Craft that has never done anything.
  12. Be there on the Saturday most likely.
  13. Any quality store will get you what you want, the compre is a very good rod for the money, I have 3 , you cant go wrong!
  14. I cant imagine a better place for numbers of big carp then Quinte , the biggest I have caught is 34 lbs but have seen many I thought would be over forty. I really dont think I have seen a 50 but without seeing one before its hard to tell.
  15. YES!!!!! My black cloud is parting!!!!!!! Thanks Dave and TJ
  16. Wondering if they have a website, cant seem to find one. Would be nice before driving from Burlington. Hell I cant fish but I can shop........I sound like a woman......except all the great fishergirls!
  17. If you want to educate yourselves on what really is in Lake Ontario here is a link to the analytical averages of raw and treated water from western lake ontario and distributed to the residents of Halton Region. http://www.halton.ca/PPW/Water/PDFs/WaterQ...Halton_2008.pdf Lake Ontario is far from the polluted past it once was , these results wouod rival any treated water results anywhere in the world. The internet is a wonderful thing , people should use it.
  18. I helped design ,construct, and now manage a class 4 100ML water plant in Southern Ontario. It is equipped with advanced taste and odour ozonation systems. If you have a questions feel free to pm me. 99 out of 100 times bottled water is not needed in a house, house have to be in excess of 50 years old to have lead problems, if they have any. A Brita in the filter will remove any combined chlorine taste and odours the water may pick up in its pipe travels.
  19. The show was great ,watched it with the kid. It really showed how very important boat control is , wether its presenting your baits or having to use the boat itself to move these monsters out of the cover itself. 600 pound test is crazy and the red mono they were using looked exactly like licorce. Watching it made me sick for warm weather and made my arm sore!!!
  20. Wouldnt it be nice if a trophy crappie and bass fishery developed
