  1. Last time I checked, Chinook have irregular spots all over the tail, Coho only have irregular spots on the upper half of the tail, and Atlantics have those other spots on the gill plate
  2. Rough guess, maybe the "O" ring at the bottom of the cartridge.
  3. Maybe he had visions of a drive through..or drive in..
  4. Last crack at the cat..if the lower oil was "green" clean, then maybe a shot of penicillin wouldn't be such a bad idea..pussy lookin oil..yech. More likely, you have unburnt 2 stroke oil mixing with exhaust moisture causing the milky mix. Similar when your take off the oil filler cap on a car or truck in the winter that only goes short distances and doesn't get a chance to heat up enough to get rid of crankcase vapour, there will be a foamy creamy oil and moisture mix inside the oil filler cap.
  5. How about, does the water hot/cold in the ensuite get used frequently or not? How about after a day or two of no use, you put the stopper in the sink and then run the water, both hot/cold and see if the smell is there. My suspecting the P trap may be partially bunged up and something is festering in there.
  6. Well now isn't that just peachy, buy a motor that's supposed to run cleaner than the older ones, but..now you have to add fuel supplement because it's getting carbon build up and that comes from the company that builds them. Sweet.
  7. Like Bernie said, and, "I have a flat tire on my car" okay, lets see, 2 front, 2 rear, 2 left side, 2 right side...get what I mean. You have to be a "bit" more specific when saying there's a leak coming out of the lower unit. Where's it leaking from? At the joint of the lower leg and lower unit, out of the exhaust at the back of the prop, did you take the prop off and confirm that it's coming from between the prop shaft and seal...give us some help.
  8. Jeez..200 miles north of Lac St.Jean, what you doing, going to visit Santa Claus? Better stop and pick some bluets and crottes de fromage along the way. Have a great day and a fantastic trip.
  9. Something like this.. , but instead you apply 10lb sledgehammer for buying a Humminbuzzard.
  10. Pags, I honestly think the problem is that most of the MNR types are aware of the "treble on an artificial" counts as "one" hook, however, there may be some that are totally unaware of the special exceptions as the one in zone 16 at Whitmans creek where it actually says "one barbless hook on lures", should indicate, no trebles allowed. Anyway, I'm not going fishing there to find out.
  11. Have you ever seen a Merc or Yama or Honda oil field where they drill for oil? It's the specs on the oil container that confirm that the oil can be used for Brand A, B, C etc outboard. None of the Dealers refine or make their own brand of oil.
  12. Unless it's a sealed carb or FI, there will be 2 adjustment screws, one should have a small coil spring between the head of the screw and where it screws in, that's the idle speed adjustment, Most likely you'll find it on top of the carb where the throttle plate shaft comes out. In the lowest positionIdle) the end of the screw will be sitting against part of the carb, when you increase speed, you'll see the assembly rotate and the screw will move away from the carb. Back that screw out about 1/4 turn. you will notice the motor slow down a bit and speed will decrease. Let us know the outcome. Don't monkey with the other screw, that's the idle gas flow adjustment.
  13. Appears I'll have to call your boss, you're doing well for innovate things, looks good. Believe it or not, some would say to leave the angle cuts rather than to smooth them out any more, it causes some noise and turbulence that attracts fish. Some of the models I've seen look like the dimples on golf balls.
  14. Well it's more reliable than the wife, never says no to going fishing, never misses a stroke, low maintenance, did I mention it never misses a stroke, , not like you 2 stroke guys
  15. Well here's one last answer for the 4 Stroke average maintenance cost. I know somebody(don't care to look it up who) that spouted of the much higher cost of maintenance for the 4 stroke, I call Bull Dung, he doesn't know what he's talking about. Anyway, I fuel filter, (no name brand will do) $4.00, one oil filter, they run about $4-$6, depends where you buy them. Two litres of good 10/30 or 10/40 motor oil, about $6-$10, depends on your brand. One 500ml container of 75/90(maybe 80/90 depends on your mfgr) marine lower gear oil, around $5-$7. That's for a years fishing, total $25-$30 of maintneance, gas not included. There you go.
  16. Special exception, but agreed that it's not well written.. "Only artificial lures may be used. Only one barbless hook may be used. Brown trout or rainbow trout S - 1 and C - 1, must be greater than 50 cm" I would have written "One single barbless hook, treble barbless not allowed".. anyway..back to fishin
  17. Ya, at 16 most guys would be trying to get l___, never mind getting laid off..
  18. Quite a while back there was a discussion regarding the meaning of Single Barbless for certain areas, and some said that it meant just that, others said a Treble Barbless is considered a single hook when on an Artificial lure. Heres the link to the old post: http://www.ofncommunity.com/forums/index.p...amp;hl=barbless This is what I finally got back from the MNR after sending them the question and zone where it applied. Hello, Thank you for your enquiry and we apologize for the delay in responding to your e-mail. It means only one single, barbless hook may be attached to your artificial lure. A single, barbless treble or double hook would be illegal. Regards, nric web reader - cg All said and done, there's the official version, now nobody has an excuse about that particular situation..
  19. Satisfaction from doing it yourself and saving a few clams at the same time. Nice job.
  20. Quit watching all the TV programs and commercials you don't like and 99% of your problems will be solved.
  21. That and a couple of Mario Andretti brake marks
  22. Six years old and never seen the road is just as bad if not worse than being used. Tires have a compound built into them that remains "active" for lack of a better description and when sitting idle or used as a spare, the active agent can't keep the rubber pliable, so tires dry out and then explode. There are infinite stories of this on RV forums. Carlisle tires aren't the best brand either, but, considering where about 99% of trailer tires come from, that's no wonder. Unless mistaken Goodyears are not made in N/A either. Keep an eye on the pressure and better to have them inflated to maximum allowable than to have them underinflated, running hot and ..Ka-pow. Good luck with the warranty.
