  1. If its not a large boat..woodbine to Ravenshoe, East past Queensway to Lake Dr. turn right follow North to launch on left side. 1 or 2 stop signed north.
  2. Also important.(depending on how big the counter space is) find an installer...get a price from him,,,the selection may not be as large, but they usually have lots of peices big and small left over from other jobs...
  3. Next time you fillet a bass....get a pail of COLD Water and add 3-4 tbs of salt...then add your fillets...swish around and watch the water turn brown~ remove from water and rinse with fresh cold water......it takes the sandy and dirt out of the fish,...give it a try!
  4. Give your spoons a shot of WD40...great for the moisture and good for attracting the big ones too!
  5. You can buy a NEW Ford Ranger Reg cab for 10,900 plus feight ect OR Ranger Supercab V6 for 12,900 plus...Id keep looking!! Check out the sun..Meadowvale ford I think.. & no I dont work for ford lol
  6. I dont think any outfitters on Simcoe offer the big ice bungalows. Sounds like a big cash flow oppourtunity for someone! Where's my hammer.... Few years back when "the guys" started to make the yearly trek to Nippising, Snowfari was the only game in town with 8 and then the huge 10 man huts. We booked with them 2 years in a row. Now it seems more outfitters are building them. cough..Grump & Grumpies..cough cough.. :
  7. Well Ron & Donna may not be listening to some peoples complaints, but at least there will fewer "New" repeat cusotmers for them! Valuable info for sure!
  8. There is no doubt his website is great, the Bungalows are top notch too! The problem is effort IMO.He plants the bungalows just off shore. Early ice maybe ok for fish but later on they move. Other operations try and move with the fish. His excuse EVERY year is that the ice crack is too big to move the huts out to the hot spots. He may offer to take you there, but thats not why you spend $1600 bucks for the bungalow. If that were the case, Id rather rent a cottage for the weeknd and venture out to the hot spots each day. Only good thing, when the mudpuppies stop biting,,,there is always the Moe-Zee-On Inn to kill a few hours!
  9. He knows the business is hurting, just collects what he can now. He actually called me early December to see if our group was going up there this year??? The last time we were booked with him was 2 years ago! He is really trying to drum up business. Give Carl a call at Grump & Grumpy's....dont waste you time or money.
  10. That is hilarious! (Sorry for the misfortune guys...) A group of 10 of us booked with this guy 2 years in a row...(5 years ago now) First year..nothing but 2 mudpuppies, gave him the benifit of the doubt and booked the second year....same thing. Funny thing is he has been using the same excuses for 5-6 years now...go figure. I think we were in a parking lot with buckets of water under the holes! Switched to Grumpy's.....class guys all the way!!!
  11. Sorry if I offended you Roy. I was just responding to a question asked. How many times have you seen me mention the other board here?. Only when asked ..IF I have at all.....I have been a member here for 2 years or so far and if its ok, Id like to continue. Just because I help those guys out, doesnt mean I dont enjoy frequenting other boards either. (3 or 4 others as a matter of fact) I also mentioned "nice people there too....too meaning, much like this board...good people...) Anyway, sorry if i offened anyone. Regards; Disspatcher
  12. Thanks Roy, I never even concidered the Ottawa River..Ill give it a Gooogle..Thanks again
  13. www.gofishont.com is a good one.. nice peeps there too.
  14. Well, we would like to stay fairly close to the Border if possible. I doubt Bungalows are available so even cottages work fine for us. I actually have searched google quite a bit and its not as easy as you think. Might be easier if I was bilingual. Any info is appreciated.
  15. G'Day All. Just looking for some recommendations for Ice fishing operators outside of Ontario. For the last 5 years a group of a dozen guys head North for a weekend of Ice Fishing. Usually end up in an Ice Bungalow in Nippising. Not a lot of fish ever get caught but good times regardless. This year a trip to Quebec has been suggested. Can anyone offer some info on outfitters? Thanks in advance Disspatcher.
  16. Hey No Worries! Its all fun....just glad to share the water! We hear all kinds of "Dinner Jacket" Jokes..infact think I may have made a few of my own in the past....I moved there just 4 months ago lmao!
  17. Really depends on what time of the day you leave. At 5am when I go, its usually 12 minutes from the river; South on Woodbine to Greenlane/404, then another 12 or so to the 407. We here in Keswick dont mind getting the 2nd "flush" from Innisfill anyway....if you ask anyone from Innisfill, thier sh!!t dont stink!
  18. Cameraman musta followed him in with his Ford Focus! j/k nice truck.
  19. Congrats on the weight loss! One tough climb for sure..as far as the smokes goes....the patch, nicorette ect..none of these work cause they all have nicotine in them!! Mark my words...read this book..honestly, I know it sounds like an infomercial but it worked for me and ALL but 1 person I have told to try it..5 so far! its called "The Easy Way To Stop Smoking" by Allen Carr He tells you to smoke while you read it The challenge..buy a fresh pack of butts, and start reading...betcha you not only finish the book; but you quit smoking before the pack is done! Feel great to throw away 7 bucks worth of smokes! Worked for me..been 2 yrs now! Now if I can only get that twinkie outta my mouth.
  20. Nice Fish! Remember; *Beer on the Pier,Water on the Water.
