  1. 90% of the boats I see while out on the water are 60hp or less, so I think it would work.
  2. Mine means the obsession of strictly fishing for the eyes. If somebody does convince me to fish anything else, I don't give it a full effort like I do for the eyes for some strange reason. I should change my name to "Eye_Pride"
  3. Whatever you do don't go to Uhaul they charge an arm and a leg. 100-150 more than the going price, for the same thing. If your down to drive to hamilton I can suggest places that will do it for about 250-300 installed. Shoot me a PM if interested.
  4. Never even knew a blue pike even existed, good work!
  5. They could care less, they will sell out the seats even if they are dead last, and charge a beating for them too!
  6. If you choose to go to Nipissing I'll be up there August long weekend, shoot me a PM before you go and i'll let you know how I did and what worked.
  7. On the wish list for the future will be a Zwilling J.A. Henckels fillet knife. Only thing I dislike is that they don't come in a case like the rapala knives. Im pretty sure they are all lifetime warranty too. We have Zwilling knives in the home that are almost 20 years old and still being used. This site actually sells them for half the price compared to what I saw in the mall. http://www.unicahome.com/p47431/j-a-hencke...a-henckels.html
  8. Really eh? I have yet to use a 9", but my 7" just seems too short when i'm filleting even 13-15" pickeral. Maybe I will borrow somebody elses to try before I make the purchase. Thanks for the heads up!
  9. Whats 5+46+6? A Michael Jackson threesome . I don't care how good he was, you just don't fiddle with kids.
  10. If your interested in a John Deere, my womans cousins own a John Deere store. I can look into it and see what kind of price he can give you. Let me know bud, you have my number! His store is in Smithville.
  11. The knife is very good. Although I find if I could take it back I would of bought the 9" that they sell instead of the 7". I think it would be easier to fillet pickeral with a longer blade. Might just come down to personal preference though, your call!
  12. I had a friend who put a hook through his thumb. We just started trolling for pickeral, and within like a minute into the troll he caught a walleye and when he unhooked it, he somehow hooked his finger
  13. Not that I support people towing with improper tow vehicles, but I spoke to a MTO officer yesterday and he said there is no rules saying you have to tow with a proper tow vehicle. He said he will pull somebody over if they are slowing traffic, their hitch is almost hitting the ground, chains dragging, or if their trailer appears unsafe.
  14. I have caught a gar pike on the grand river.
  15. I believe thats a alligator gar. I watched a show on sunday where dave mercer was fishing for them somewhere in texas. He said they grow to like 7'.
  16. When I get my own place one day I am going to mount a can of bear spray on the wall on every floor
  17. My friends dad got taken for a ride in a half by a muskie when he was in a canoe, eventually the muskie spooled him.
  18. Well of course he is not going to admit that he didn't do the work. Just looking out for fellow OFNers and making sure they don't get ripped off like I did and others did.
  19. Right on, must feel good to make your own and be able to catch a fish with it!
  20. Agreed. I have only caught one ever, and I have fished the grand for 15 years.
  21. That guy at Bay city needs to cheer up, he makes me feel like I'm annoying him whenever I'm in there. Another thing, I'm almost positive he didn't even winterize my motor last winter, because she barely smoked when I fired her up. I'm not the only one he has charged and not done the work. Maybe this post will be a wake up call.
  22. I have caught a smallmouth in york once, but that was years ago.
  23. My 1996 4runner only has like 180hp and 200ish ft/lb of torque and its rated to tow 5000lbs, yet I can really feel my 1000lb boat, both when I accelerate and brake, go figure. It would have a real hard time towing 5000lb, so why is it rated to tow it?
