as someone else suggested your original charger didn't shut off and the liquid was burned off. Hopefully it didn't warp the plates because if this happens your battery will not hold its charge. I also heard it was a myth about leaving your batteries on concrete.

hi sean, you should try the shoreline around the corner from the marina we fished last time, if the weeds are grown in the crappie may be there. good luck.

great report.... maybe one of you can help me because I can't see the videos, when I click on the picture it sends me to the photobucket login and does not go into the video. -
I think you can launch at the town launch at the south west area of Kempenfelt bay.

if it is your battery, it should have the month and year the battery was sold on the battery and they may give you money back based on the sold date if the battery is no good.

check the fluid level and top it up, but do not let it overflow.

great pictures. How many tanks are there in there? I'm assuming they are in separate tanks/exhibits.

nice catch, What's the limit on those? they look like nice eater size.

I'd recommend you take the model number with you and if basspro has one you can put some reels on it to see how it feels . I'd personally go with a 1000 or 1500 series reel since it is a light rod , or if it is a baitcast rod I'd go with a 100 series reel.

nice report GCD, in the women's tourney it said they are expecting 30-35 lbs for the winner, there must be some big bass in that area.

have the water levels receded from all the flooding in the area?

I would suggest launching at Sibbald's Provincial Park, there is a machine at the gate to pay $11.85. go out from the park and go left for about 2 miles and there should be boats there. good luck. also there are lots of perch around J.P. when you get tired of the whitefish

bpsbassman...the link was kids who videotaped two of there friends who jumped in a fishtank in one of the stores in the states , the video was put on youtube. I read that there was enough evidence on the tape to identify them and charge them. -
nice report. How long was that brookie? thanks for posting.

When I saw this post the one thing that stuck in my mind was that there is a new derby on Lake Ontario with a chance to win $$$$$ , plus some pretty nice size fish with some details. thanks for posting.

sharp looking boat for the money , sounds like it solves the family issue and will be a good boat to fish out of. It looks like an 18 footer so with a 150 I don't think it is under powered. Sometimes when boats are underpowered you have a tendancy to drive them harder and the gas consumption is not good. I am not 100 % sure but I think procraft and astro were owned by the same company back then.

Spiel , yeah I seen you pull out . We sure did pick a nice calm day to be out on the water.

Spiel, I was talking to the mnr at that time, I mentioned the snagging to him .

I decided to give it another shot of trying for my first whitefish on friday morning, this was my third try. I put the anchor down at 7:00 in 64 feet of water beside some other boats and put on a meegs jig with a tube on the back and my other rod I put on a silver williams. For the next two hours I watched as most of the boats around me were hooking fish, I noticed the ones using the williams were jigging aggressively lifting there rod about five feet in the air every 30 seconds or so and they seemed to hook the most fish. After about two hours a guy pulls up beside me , drops anchor and within 1 minute he lands his first fish and 10 minutes later he has his second. I noticed he was using the meegs type lure with a dark colored tube , so I put on a dark color tube and started jigging. Well it was all about technique as within 10 minutes I landed my first ever whitie, 10 minutes later I landed my second which was hooked under the mouth so that one was released, altogether I landed 5 and lost a few. The technique that worked best was to drop the bait on bottom and keep my line tight and lift it off bottom about 6 inches and drop it back down. I would lift it every 10-20 seconds and drop it back down. 4 out of 5 fish took the bait inside the mouth with just one snagged fish which I think is a very good hookup ratio. I used a baitcasting reel with 30 lb power pro and a 5 foot 8 pound fluoro leader. After the whitie action I decided to go to Jacksons Point for some perch. The fish were there but not to interested in my bait so I called it a day and returned to Sibbalds PP boat launch. I pulled up to the dock and the MNR showed up and asked for my fishing license and checked my fish. We talked for a couple of minutes he gave me his card and off he went.

Whenever I switch vehicles or boats I put the brand of oil I want and only use that brand for the time I own that vehicle, the Pennzoil on sale at BPS is a synthetic blend. Just make sure it has the acceptable code for your brand of engine (mine was wc3)
-
I buy the Pennzoil oil when it comes on sale at bps, I think it's on sale now $12.88.

can we find out what the 50 commitments are? good to see them taking some action.
