  1. My Merc is guaranteed safe with ethanol gas up to 10%. Shoulda got a Merc.
  2. I tried to delete the post, but it made my puter throw up.
  3. I'll be there with bells on! That way you can hear me sneaking up to steal your wings.
  4. The dealer sugested it was a loose manifold the first time it started and they tightened and did an oil change and the issue went away for awihle. But then it came back and goes away after each oil change. I will start cheaper and work my way up. Seafoam, plugs and see what happens! I as thinking of an EGR valve too, but I can't quite tell if it is lifter or ping..it almost sounds like both.
  5. Caravan is 2001 with 149,000k. It is a 3.3 l Plugs are platinum..but a bit older. I have tried in vain to find Sea-Foam in the Niagara Region...others have also suggested it. The noise is sporatic but is generally upon acceleration when the vehicle is already moving. From a standstill, it is quiet (except for the everpresent power-steering pump whine...stupid Chryslers) So if I am moving along at 50k and accelerate, that's when I notice it. The warmer it is outside, the more I hear the noise.
  6. I thought I had this problem licked with my Caravan, but I am baffled now. I'm getting a noise which is somewhere between a ping and noisy lifters..can't quite tell. This noise only happens when the outside temperature is above 70F. After an oil change this noise goes away for a week. So I'm leaning towards the hydraulic lifter noise over the ping. But what would cause the noise within these parameters? Plugged screen in the oil pan?
  7. Thanks for joining Marc...and more importantly thank you for your service to Canada. We appreciate it more than we can say! There's always room in my boat for you should you be near my waters.
  8. I'm the reigning Crayola Invitational Champ...does that make me a celebrity? Sounds like a fin event, Shaun!
  9. Man, you have my sympathies. My boys are all I really have in the world and I so dread the day I may have to do the same. Your strength in allowing him to pass painlessly was proof of your dedication and friendship. You're a good man, Nanook.
  10. HE should do his first show next June with us at Lakair... Call the episode... Hangover Pike Tactics.
  11. That may be the best retort in awhile...Bless his heart.
  12. You came across an article that is on the site that you link to on a daily basis? Wow..that is a coincidence. It is also known as spam.
  13. THis is best done when you first catch the fish. Cut out the throat and place the fish head down into ice. THis chills and bleeds the fish. Any fish that you want to eat should be dispatched immediately for the best tasting results. According to some, fish in a livewell have increasing levels of lactic acid build up and can have more resultant bitter taste. I don't know if I've ever noticed the difference, however.
  14. That's a big kitty! Nothin like that in Canada, but GCD down in Alabama gets to see some brutish-type cats. Nice fish!
  15. The month of June was our busiest ever. Crazy, stupid busy. We logged a total of 16,000,000 hits. In May we had 15,500,000 We consumed well over our 50GB data limit for the first time. This resulted in some fast phone calls to the host asking for more transfer. They said ye$ of cour$e we can a$$i$t you! Actually they have been really good so I can't complain. I've used a dozen or so different hosts and these guys are by far the most reliable. They are not cheap, but you always get what you pay for. So we've done more optimizing, removed redundant features and deleted the topsite features. It just sucked up too much time and bandwidth and gave back little in return. Other stats of note for the month... Hits- 16,055,000 Total Bandwidth- 59Gb Total Page views- 2,539,000 Visitors- 120,000 Referrers- 55,000 Number of big fish awards given to an admin-1 Number of Pike Tourney Trophies given to an admin- 1 Man we have to raise our banner rates..lol. June also brings to a close the second quarter. Our quarterly stats are as follows... Q2- Unique Page loads- 2,299,000 Unique Visitors- 354,000 Returning visitors- 125,000 Most visitors on site at once 290 (700+ if you count the day of the Yahoo bot invasion) These numbers are represnetative of the changes we made to reduce page views, reduce bandwidth and make the site easier to navigate. Under the old system, these numbers would be doubled.
  16. Wow..wouldn't mind having that in my boat! Nice fish, too.
  17. I had cancer in 98 and had my gall bladder out last year. Both times I had no issues seeing a doctor or talking to a doctor about whatever questions I had. I never waited more than a week to see a doctor. It may be the case that the system is not as important as the people in it.
  18. Both systems have their merits. I prefer our system, but thats likely because I have had all good experiences with it. Canadians do live longer than our southern neighbours...but that may be because we have more fishing available here.
