  4. LOL Glen, 50 means the furnace is on?
  5. Had some frost on the roof this morning, none at ground level. First frost was always a sign to me to head north.
  6. Nice job with the rescue! Glad everyone is OK! Small boats big water always a danger, a lot of water in a 3 foot wave.
  7. Glad everyone is ok!
  8. Hmmm, evidence is thin, I will enter their home illegally and steal some?
  9. I have never bought a New York license on line, but I know a few years ago they cut back on the number of places that sold them. We used to get them at the campground we stayed at, he was no longer allowed to sell them and we had to go to the town hall to get one.
  10. Not an expert on it either, but have been thru it a couple times in the trucking industry here in the USA so the laws are probably different. One company filed for re-organization, checks due bounced, earnings while in re-organization were guaranteed by the court. First one was to deeply in debt to secure financing to re-organize. Closed and all assets were sold, after 2 years we got a check for a portion of the money owed. LOL like mentioned the people that actually do the work are pretty low on the list to be paid. Just for me it was a good sign to start looking for a new job, I don`t like rubber checks.
  11. Great pictures! LOL after looking at farm land too much rocks and water are a good thing! Glad you had a good time!
  12. LOL, it doesn`t take that many casts to hook up with one if your bass fishing! You just don`t want to stick a hook in 10,000 before you land one. LOL and don`t lip them!
  13. Welcome back Garry! Glad the health issues are under control.
  14. LOL Tom just remember, dang, wings, beer, good topics anytime!. LOL ya you should have been there! I was along in case they needed an anchor! I didn`t help the fishing! Glad to see you back!
  15. A little boy wanted $100.00 to buy a new bike very badly and prayed for weeks, but nothing happened. Then he decided to write God a letter requesting the $100.00. When The postal authorities received the letter to God, USA, they decided to send it to the President. The president was so amused that he instructed his secretary to send the little boy a $5.00 bill. The president thought this would appear to be a lot of money to a little boy. The little boy was delighted with the $5.00 bill and sat down to write a thank-you note to God, which read: Dear God: Thank you very much for sending the money. However, I noticed that for some reason you sent it through Washington, DC., and those *******s deducted $95.00 in taxes. __________________
  16. Nice fish! Much prettier than a trout, salmon or ski! LOL
  17. Welcome back Tom! Now you have to catch up to Wayne`s post count! LOL
  18. The rod weight usually indicates the lure weight it is designed to cast, light, medium, heavy, basically the stiffness of the rod. A medium action to medium heavy rod is fine for bass and walleye, a bit on the light side for bigger pike and possibly not suitable at all for Muskie of any size. More info is needed, have you used casting reels? or spinning only? Casting reels are usually preferred for big pike and skis some practice may be needed if you haven`t used them before. Line choices are sort of endless, it depends on what your comfortable using and what your fishing for. A line for walleye may not be suitable for bass in cover or pike and skis. And ya it`s easy to go overboard on the price of equipment. You don`t need the most expensive outfit to catch fish, just good quality reliable tackle.
  19. Have a good one Cliff!
  20. Matty that motor 36 or 40 should be fine for that boat, now bow or tiller?
  21. On a medium setting like 3 out of 5 all day maybe some juice for the next, depends on the motor, #`s of thrust and the size of the battery, lol and wind. I have a 52 pound thrust bow mount 12 volt. I did carry a spare battery.
  22. A cowardly attack done by madmen.
  23. The high price of freedom? You can live where you want, go where you want, buy what you want, LOL if you have enough money left after taxes! Oops scratch, Cuba! Like they say the only sure things in life are death and taxes.
  24. LOL the bucket brigade, here it is a mix of people, some follow the rules, some figure if the fish is big enough to bite, it`s big enough to eat and a 10 inch bass is bigger than a 6 inch bluegill so into the bucket. They make hunters take an education course here, some fishermen need an education course also. We also have the problem of more people fishing than enforcement officers to cover all the places, and people know it and abuse it.
