When I was at the boat show. I ask the dealers about rigging other engines. The average price was $495 for re rigging. The dealer also said it would be a little more if you want hydraulic steering if the original package didn't come with it. AS for Rude trying to bring back the market from 4 strokes. Does BPR not know the reason why people are buying 4 strokes. I have talked to alot of people with 4 stroke and all have said much the same. No messing around with high priced two stroke oil and they are very quite. P.R is the best weapon that a company has to sell there product. Most p.r work is target at un-knowing public. All they want to do is turn key and go. I for one, still a big two stroke fan and don't like the way BPR is doing the P.R work. Rude dude is the perfect example of this.

Didn't read about the E-tec engines on the net. The press release was in the Star and the Globe. The one part of the press release that made me laugh, was that the Engine only had this problem in adverse weather. Yep, the weather here in Canada stay pretty much the same all year. Could of swear I just read that Merc won A Award for costumer satisfaction.

Oops got the 4-tec and the E-tec mix up. 2 tone, Yammy is the big boy on the block for 2 stroke. They make a 3.3l 300hp. Didn't know that Suzuki stop making 2 strokes. I have never said that rude was a bad engine. I just don't like the way that they say it's the best engine on the market by comparing it against engines in a different class. And of course I can't compare my truck against a car with a very large trunk.

I was reading about how the E-Tec's are blowing up in the new sleds. The engines are 4 strokes, but use the same elec and fuel rail. This is the same technology that the outboards use. For most people this would not be a concern, but for a guy like me. That fishes open water in the winter is. ANSWER HIS; why does BPR always compare there two stroke against 4 strokes. Does Yammy,Merc and Suk not make a two stroke.

I don't fish with out some type of flouro now. I use heavy to make my own leaders. Between 6lb to 27lb tippets. 6 to 12ft 20 to 50ft shock core leaders for when I troll with braid. As for catching more fish I couldn't tell fully, because I do very well in that department.
