  1. I talked to my buddy and if the tournament is to happen, it will be Saturday, September 20.
  2. Hey everyone, My buddy and I are thinking about holding a small Bass tournament on Rice Lake in September and were wondering if anyone would be interested in fishing it? $15/team winners take all. 3 Bass limit Preferably have your own boat, but not recommended. Its nothing serious or anything, just an excuse to get out of the house and enjoy a days fishing. PM me if you're interested or want more info. Cheers, *Jamie
  3. hmmmmm...I dont have any bucktails that big, but I am going to have to try and find some!! do you know anywhere that carries them that big? I will check with the local tackle store in Pickering. thanks again for the tips!
  4. Well...as being someone who has watched his mother battle breast cancer for the past 4.5 years, then be told it wasnt defeated and that she might have 2 years to live, and has come back and spread into her bones, to which emergency Radiation was performed over this past holiday weekend to prevent her from being paralyzed from the waist down.......doesnt appear that "chemo" and "radiation" seem to be doing their jobs too well. I say all the power to the Dr. and more people need to listen to him and TRY his methods. Doesnt hurt to try...especially with such a beast of a disease like cancer.
  5. My bad, the one part in the lake is 95' deep, with two other spots hitting the 60' mark. I will focus on those areas if/when we try for lakers. When you say "big jig" what type are you talking? Jigging Spoon? Bucktail? Lead & Curly tail? Thanks again for all the info, much appreciated.
  6. Thanks Rob, I made a mental note! Cant wait to set the hook into some (hopefully) monster fish! Only 7 more sleeps! Also...for your trout guys.....about how deep will the Lakers be now? All the way to the bottom? There are a few parts in the lake that go down to 60 feet.
  7. If anyone needs a few picture re-sized, dont hesitate to PM me, and I will give you my email address. I will gladly re-size and optimize them for the web for you.
  8. If you have a newer version of Photoshop (CS, CS2, CS3), it has a batch option to resize folders of photos at once.
  9. Thanks very much for the tips! I am brining my DSLR camera, so there will be tons of pictures!
  10. Solo, Have you fished any of the adjacent lakes on the east side? (Ryegrass, Rumley, Mole, etc)?
  11. Noted! I am sure it wont be a problem, but just in case, I thought I would ask! I am going to make sure that when we find dry wood, to keep it wrapped in a tarp to ensure it stays dry!
  12. Never thought of that. What can be done in that situation? (If all the surrounding wood is wet)?? I dont think that you can take your own wood into the park can you?
  13. Copper seems to be the overall favorite (no matter what time of day or the conditions) for me. No other colour seems to produce as well.
  14. Awesome, thanks very much Solo!!!! MUCH appreciated.
  15. Thanks Reefrunner! Appreciate the info. Cant wait to go! Only 8 more sleeps!
  16. Hey everyone, Just wondering if anyone has been (interior) camping on Booth Lake in Algonquin Park recently? My buddy and I are heading there a week from tomorrow for our first interior fishing trip! I was just wondering where the better sites are on the lake? Also wondering how the fishing is right now? We are after big bass/pike. Thanks for any help! *Stoty
  17. Man, thats brutal! Should go by age, not height. Even though my wife might qualify for a child's fare!
  18. Dang....nice day out on the water for sure! I would say 4ish for that bass. Good fish!
  19. Ha ha ha
  20. Theres one big difference about when we did it...and today.......STREET RACING FINE.... 50km or over the limit....say byebye to your car and license. ANYONE who is stupid enough to "bury" the speedo today......deserves to be caught....
  21. Buried my 84 Z28 Camaro a while back. No clue how fast I was going, but lets just say there wasnt a Ford in sight!!!
  22. Real men drive Chevy's!
  23. Arrowhead has great bass fishing. I caught a few smallies upwards of 5 lbs in the one lake (the bigger lake).
  24. Always bring the gear......but with Killbear, make sure to bring your crazy side for the CLIFF JUMPING they have there!!! wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
  25. Fishing against pros in big bass boats doesn't matter. My buddy and I fished a tourney on Rice Lake back 3-4 years ago in his 16 ft, with a 30 HP and finished in the top 20. we beat quite a few pros, one who had a 21ft bass boat with a 225, and his own TV show! Just because you aren't a "pro" doesn't mean you cant compete with them.
