  1. Nice shot Bill. I saw a few chasing each other too. Too fast for my reflexes though so no shot
  2. Beautiful shot!
  3. Uh oh, is that a sign of your fishing season to come Cool shot, hope you weren't too close!!
  4. Thanks Lew. The second one did turn out kind of neat. They only stick around for a month or so in spring. You have to really look for them. I know they are bright orange and all, but they like to hide in the bushes. I had a hard time finding this one. I went out looking where I saw them last year and finally, after an hour, saw just this one in the blossoms for about 2 minutes, then it flew off.
  5. Went looking for for some Orioles last night, found one! Huh?

    Cool, thanks Lew!!!
  7. I understand exactly what you are saying Cliff, and it sucks!! Since I have been a voter (and I ALWAYS exercise my right to vote), it seems we go back and forth between Liberal and PC. Liberal has got to be better than PC and will fix everything, not wait, that didn't work. Okay PC has got to be better than Liberal and they'll fix everything. Damn, that didn't work either. And even if they don't or can't fix everything, they can barely fix one thing. The complete waste of our taxpayers' money is so out of hand it is beyond repair. Overthrow the government has been my inside joke lately!!! Is that what it has to come to??? There are really only 2 choices out there and the majority dislike both. NDP and Green will never work so you are right in asking, who do we vote for. If we don't vote we're screwed, yet if we do vote, we're screwed!!!
  8. Sweet looking fish Chris. Well done!
  9. I agree, I've learned so much. I like the challenge of finding new birds and of course in flight pics. Once I find new birds and get some good pics of them, I want to move on and find others I have not photographed yet, or at least birds i have not photographed well yet The Kingfisher is still my nemesis. I found another pond with one at it, and I was so close to getting a really good shot, and an in flight shot too, but I just go there and barely had the lens cap off when I heard the chatter, saw it land not 20 feet from me. I raised the camera and didn't even focus yet and he was off and flying. I got a shot of the empty branch, then two fuzzy flying shots close to me - Dang. I will keep trying though.
  10. Yup, I think you're right Dave. I'm still learning Thanks!
  11. Thanks. Those warblers can be tricky though. They sure flit about.

Cool, okay well I guess they are not as rare a I thought. Keep trying for a pic lew. Would love to see a better pic than mine!
  22. Thanks guys. I'm just now beginning to understand how the camera works. I've been so afraid to go out of auto mode, but weather conditions have forced me too. I'm kinda liking how much clearer the photos can be when you get the right setting. You just have to play around with it, and of course, be patient and find the subject, and then hope they cooperate. Yup, patience is my friend
  23. Joey

    Huh?

Well that's the first one I've ever seen Lew. I thought there was something wrong with it at first. Pretty cool looking!
