Don't get me started on Splenda That stuff is poison. Everyone is different, but alot of people having problems with it. Enough to make you wonder if it really is safe. I started take it on a Saturday in the powder form in my coffee, Monday and Tuesday I had to nap after work for about an hour I was so tired, and I felt sick to my stomach with a dull ache. By Wednesday I could barely get my jeans done up and my hands and feet were all swollen. Thursday the noises in my right ear started and scared the crap out of me. It was like Tinnitis and sounded like I had a cricket in my ear. I started Googling my symptoms and they all came back to the Splenda. I stopped taking it on the Friday, but noticed alot of the foods and drinks I liked had Sucralose (Splenda) in them - flavoured water, yoghurt, etc., so I had to cut them out too. The symptoms dissipated slowly over the next week and are gone now. Good old sugar for me from now on. Joey

Wow, cool picture Lew, is that your car Nice place up there. Maybe they can have us all for next year's G2G, it looks big enough I didn't know there was a lake up there too, that's cool. What kind of fish are in it? Joey

Hahahahahaha, ya I could play the dumb blond trick, except they had a part number on them, both different, one for left and one for right I spose. Maybe I should call Mercury and ask them what the going rate it. Just wondered if anyone had recently paid for them and had to pay that much or if anyone one here owns a marina and knows what they sell for. Unfortunately I do need them, and I need them tomorrow Joey

No, they are the seals that go on the drive shaft between the bearing on the lower unit and the water pump.
-
Paul noticed the lower unit had water in it last weekend so when we got home he took it apart and brought me two black round seals and asked me to go to the marina by my work and get two new ones. I took them over on my lunch hour and the guy found the replacement seals. These things are about 1 inch in diameter and look like a rubber washer you can get at any hardware store for a buck or two. So when he tells me they are $20.90 APIECE, plus tax, I almost fainted. I asked him why they were so much for a little piece of rubber and he said that they were an important part of the lower unit and that I needed them Highway robbery if you ask me. Anyone know if that's the going rate or did I get fleeced? Joey

Awesome Mo. I was hoping to see some pics, but I guess pics will be better with a fish in them ON your boat Good for you, and the trailering thing just takes a bit of practice. I still have to go at it about 3 time before I get it right myself. And don't pay any attention if you have others watching. Ignore them and just focus. Nobody gets it right all the time and even seasoned trailerers have to try over and over sometimes. Joey Joey

Spent the weekend with a small group of OFC'rs and had just a fabulous time. The weather on the first day was a bit windy but after a great breakfast lakeside we braved it. But by the afternoon, as you can see, the wind calmed down and the sun came out. Don and Ruth I really enjoyed your company this weekend Mr. Eh it was nice meeting you and Pete and Lew, a pleasure as always. Now to the fish porn. I hooked this beauty Saturday afternoon and I'm still vibrating from the excitement The sun went down and then we all headed to dinner. I can still hear that waitress humming Sandy, you look fabulous as usual and Adam, thanks again, it really was a super time Pete, you said I could post this, remember More fish porn on Sunday. And Wayne, the net is NOT jinxed This morning was overcast, but warmer, and we tried for a few more hours so Paul wouldn't go home skunked, but ran out of time and had to check out. We did notice another boat poaching (as Lew mentioned in this thread). It was a black Lund and there were three guys and 7 lines. I took a pic, but it turned out all fuzzy from the zoom Thanks again everyone, I will remember this trip for a long time. Joey & Paul

Ya, I got one too and tried to order something just to see if it would work (I wasn't going to go beyond the point of shipping, just wanted to see if it would work). I put in the code and it said it was for Express shipping only, Canada is International ground and air only. Sucks big time. My heart was all aflutter there for a minute. Our dollar at $1.10 AND free shipping, a dream come true Joey

I had restless leg syndrome for about 6 months after I got out of the hospital. Drove me up the wall, but it went away on its own. As for being tired, do you drink/eat alot of things with artificial sweeteners in them, like Splenda or Aspartame? Joey
-
Wow, congrats Mike. Did you take the skein off it or did you get liquid gold? Joey
-
We'd probably be interested again this year Pete. We'll see what date as the time gets closer. Cheers, Joey
