  1. I am very relieved for you all especially for Jennifer. I lived with my ex-husband who had Chrons from the age of 17. He lost a foot and half of his large and a foot of his small intestine at that age. I honestly do not know of a more painful thing to live with. There most certainly is a light at the end of the tunnel for her. One thing about OFC...people do care...it's real. Thanks for sharing that part of your life with us.
  2. Neither good or bad...just a risk. So then ask yourself what is the risk. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. The fact that you are 21, go for it. Let me tell you...it's a lot more difficult to contemplate going for something when you are 41! Good Luck
  3. Fishinghurts...see the blood! sorry, couldn't resist
  4. Look how happy and healthy your son looks...hahaha of course he is going to rub it in.
  5. Wow...I had no idea you were talking about a dog. I was truly touched and enjoyed reading that. I am almost tempted to get me a dog...almost. Thanks for sharing that.
  6. I think it's great that we are able to change our name...she's young and she will come around...or maybe not....no harm done.
  7. Very sad..so sorry for you and your family. Love the poem.
  8. aaahhhh gee thanks for the flowers...but you shouldn't have I prefer chocolate
  9. Top of the Marning to Ya too. Bring snacks, a book, maybe tie some flies... Have a great day
  10. I wasn't expecting that
  11. You gotta be kidding!! I commute 46kms each way...I actually don't mind it. I get to give the finger often as I travel before sun up...but I behave on my way back home.
  12. Well then he's pretty fortunate...can now afford a lawyer.
  13. Did he intend on stealing the dog or did he come to it's rescue? Was the dog abandoned for a considerable length of time? Did he in fact get the money? Or was this a little mid-winter scam two friends put together to pass the time. I need a holiday.
  14. Computers were meant for females...men's fingers are just too Big...and women are far more patient. This is our traditional work ... men need to get out and do more physical work.
  15. Stay away from Great West Life...they had a deal for me because I had the three magic things to insure....car, life and home. Well the deal for the car was far from a deal....so I did call around and managed to save myself close to $450.00 a year on the car alone. I deal with AVIVA - Groulx Inc. for my car only. Here is their tel number for my area: (613) 748-1918 toll free (800) 668-0250 Good Luck
  16. The only real damage done to that young lad was his pride and losing face with his friends. The police officer no doubt was doing a "paid duty" thinking it would be easy extra money patrolling areas that the public have complained about. Did he scare the kid....no doubt. Did he physically abuse him...I don't think so...he was a bit rough with the lad, and in my opinion went on too long with his lecture and a very loud one at that. If anything it was the loud lecture that got on my nerves. Like someone said earlier...not one of us perfect. We all have bad days and yet my very worst day could never compare to what some police officers have to endure on a "daily basis". Let's face it....our world has changed. My 25 year old son has been a police officer for 5 years. I hear a lot. I have watched the change in his eyes. I know so much more than the average citizen, I wish I didn't but I do and I don't want him ever to stop telling me the most horrific parts of his job. I am proud of him...so proud of him but I wish he would have been a teacher instead. Thankfully he doesn't take my advice which is "shoot first, and ask questions later"...some days are pure hell for him and we all expect him to go from a rape of a child back on the road and being polite to the next guy who just happens to want to spit in his face. God Bless all Police Officers

  21. Well Photoz you at least helped him out by providing him with that very convincing story....I mean few people wouldn't want to dig deep and help out a family especially kids sitting in a car without heat in the dead of winter. What if such a situation is true...I'm sure it has happened...it did happen to me, many years ago coming back home from Timmins...broke down about 30 minutes from North Bay, was with my husband and young son. We got out of the car and didn't have time to get cold when two vehicles stopped. Which I guess made all the difference... seeing is believing.
  22. I'll gladly stick with the snow....hopefully there wasn't much damage or loss of life.
  23. It was just a dream....just a dream boys. And a good one at that There was no ingestion of brown acid nor the smoking of rolled up dried worms. tsk tsk
  24. Wow...thanks Pikehunter...makes a whole lot of sense.
