I don't want to believe it...even though it made me laugh...it's so darn sad....but I'm still laughing...what a dumb a - - ! hahaha -

This part Saturday my son experienced exactly that. Went to pay for his groceries...insufficient funds. Had just depostied his pay the day before. Went to the bank machine, it ate his card. Not much can be done on a Saturday...and he was not a happy camper. Monday brought better news...he will have his money returned. The investigation so far goes like this. A month prior...he rented a video...unbenownst to him, that's where the thief was. The thief waited a month and decided at 5:30 a.m. this past Saturday to withdraw $400 from a ATM machine outside a donut shop. I guess the thief didn't pay attention that this bank card was from the Police credit union. My son is a police officer...I don't think he rented that video in uniform...hahaha As much as I like not to carry cash in my pocket...makes me very leary to use my card anywhere but at the bank.

well, had ya all been the Chipendales you'd likely still be at "sea".

Got my T4, still waiting on the last of RRSP contribution to come in...did a prelim and I gonna get some money back... yyyyaaayyyy! In one hand and out the other as I will be paying my property tax with it....c'est la vie.

Irishfield...it's okay...I don't take it as such...he wants to start a war that is impossible to win. Give to Ceasar what is Ceasars...how much simplier can it be.
-
You are talking about Heaven...this is Hell. Do I feel good??? yes I do, because I was able to educate people...tell you what...why don't you be the experiment for everyone else...don't pay your taxes and keep us posted. And whatever happens to ya...I wish you the best.
-
Honestly...pick your battles wisely. For example...How many people want the war in Afganistan to stop...myself included! It ain't stopping...and neither are you going to win against the tax man. Sorry...that's just the way it is.

well...I am telling the truth...after 1.5 years of that I left...I really didn't like hearing people cry...but I was really nice, I really was. haha

uh hummmm....I was a collection officer for CCRA, we were the first step in collections. If you were the unlucky one where I would give you a "legal warning", then by George I guarantee you that your bank account would be ceased without warning, if you did not follow through on your committment to pay. If...I made a payment arrangement with you and you did not hold up your end of the agreement...good luck to you. Too late then to deal with the little people like me, you are going to deal with the more hard nose ones...say bye bye to your boat, car, whatever was giving you pleasure. I"m serious. People...pay your taxes.

Welcome back. I seldom post...but I seem to have lots to say on others. They put up with so I figure I ain't so bad.

You are very selfless to see what truly does matter. Thankfully for you, your wife didn't give up. We all need "me time", and as long as there is a healthy balance, I believe all will remain well with everyone in the family. Thanks for sharing that.

I hate it when guys do that...I mean really...if you need some attention..speak up! Happy he's okay...but he'll pay hahaha
-
I second that... actually I would be out of my mind waiting for my partner to come back... I do feel badly for that man and his family...such a senseless death.

Dealing with Life/Getting Old & Fishing
Tarzan's Jane replied to wvfisherman's topic in General Discussion
It's not just the fishing...you listed so many other concerns...and they for sure are important to look at and consider. But giving up on the thought of even fishing, sounds to me like you are overwhelmed. Taking an honest hard look at your present situation and into the future can be tuff. But you just have to promise yourself that fishing for you is in fact enjoying life therefore you are going to make the time to fish. How much, or how often...well that is yet to be determined, but you just keep it on your list of what things are going to stay in your life so that you can look forward to retirement with at least a positive starting point. And eating fish at least once a week is very healthy and easy on the grocery bill. I no doubt will likely take up a part-time job as a Wal-Mart greeter....why not. And may even volunteer at a soup kitchen...at least then I know that I will have one meal a day. Talk with your partner....plan it with her....but keep positive. -
aaaahhhhhh....what a little cutie. You absolutely are not and could not replace Nikita. Your wife and step-daughter are two very intuitive women. Very happy for you. KIA has big shoes to fill, but I think you're gonna fall in love with her

It certainly does look like you all had a great day. I took at peek at the video clip that Terry posted and even though I was not there in person, I was in spirit. Tyler is a very cute young man....happy to hear that OFC and others have helped to ease the family's financial burden. Great Stuff!!

Nice...you can get back to the books now that you got your fix
