  1. Spinning reels, even saltwater ones, do not do as good a job as baitcasters designed for pulling big baits. Don't know about the lures.
  2. I've never had a problem with wood toothpicks. It's the rocks that concern me. Plus the wood is more Eco friendly.
  3. Puke/pike. Hmmm, why are the i and the u are beside each other? Editing has rendered my childish pun in- humorous.
  4. Welcome. We're not as friendly once we get to know you.;-) Ice is a tricky thing because it can change daily/ hourly. Cooks bay does produce some pike and is closer to you.
  5. I think zone 14 has a 6 walleye limit and that might be where the derby was but I'm not really familiar with that area.
  6. People with pasts that prevent them from crossing our border existed before the above mentioned issues. Dance around it all you want but until the american's economy bounces back less people will be coming to our country to recreate. Not to mention that now you need a passport to cross the boarder.
  7. You're right, you don't understand.
  8. No one is doing the math. "Millions of dollars" ??? Exactly how many people have been turned away at our border that were on their way to a lodge? Does this help an industry that is seeing hard times? Yes. Is this alone going to save a lodge? No.
  9. Complex issue that should be taken very seriously and the government tries to make it black/white, if yer not fer it, yer a criminal. That is an excellent way to govern a country.
  10. Our dollar has been near par for the last 4-5 years and the U.S. economy has taken a bit of a beating at the same time.
  11. Normal day/trip just leave the trays open. If it rained I also run a fan over everything.
  12. http://www.thebarrieexaminer.com/ArticleDisplay.aspx?e=3470222 Fishing hut swiped from ice Updated 3:30pm Feb 13, 2012 COLLINGWOOD — Collingwood-Blue Mountains OPP are investigating the theft of an ice-fishing hut removed from the harbour's ice at Heritage Drive in Collingwood sometime overnight on Feb. 9. According to OPP, the hut is a blue and grey Clam portable hut. Anyone with information is asked to call OPP. Ummmm, could it have blown away?
  13. I hate those slow days on the ice in February.
  14. You'll hear the same thing about pike in the summer. Pure Bunk.
  15. Send the photos to me, I'll take care of everything.
  16. http://www.thebarrieexaminer.com/ArticleDisplay.aspx?e=3469106 Bank customer not very happy Updated 12:30pm Feb, 2012 Barrie police were called to a Bayfield Street bank shortly after 7 p.m. Friday after an angry customer smashed out the front window. Police say the man was not happy about the service he had received. He was charged with mischief and now has a future court date.
  17. As of today, from a match-up perspective the Leafs have only two teams that would be very difficult to beat in a series: Boston straight-up Pittsburgh with a healthy Crosby Doesn't mean I think the Leafs will easily make the play-offs or even win a series. It just means I don't see how they have a chance against those teams. Predictions are almost pointless, but fun.
  18. Yep. But just in our part of northamerica. No where else, it's a secret. Shhhhh!
  19. That was against Calgary wasn't it? Top shelf? Its just an assumption (but a good one) that both seasons ticket holders will get first crack. The details as to exactly which team gets exactly how many tickets is still being worked on, plus the league will want their cut. The 107501 seats will start to disappear quick. I just want one.
  20. Btw I just got a text. I'm in a box for tomorrows game. Saturday night, the habs and Sundin honoured.
  21. I'll be trying to get some, but I'm not holding out much hope. Season ticket holders ( 2 sets) will get first crack. I've got a few minor contacts that I've already put on notice, but it's still a long shot.
