  1. Forget the cat, ban the nutjob with the wild animal as a pet.
  2. Someone I work with said marigolds would keep rabbits out of my veg garden. Since I haven't had rabbits in the 3 years I've had the garden I didn't really consider it.
  3. I watched that show. To this day that is what me and my brother will say when we set the hook. I don't remember Pete but I'm sure I was far too young at the time. For nostalgia I looked for the show on TVO's site but didn't find it. Edit to add Looks like it was a year and a half ago: http://ontariofishingcommunity.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=51251
  4. Flawed. $150 per month x 180 months = $27000. Cost of borrowing (with these numbers) $9000.
  5. I get the $28293 but not the $46293. Cost of borrowing from them is a little over $10200. Whether or not the boat is right is not for me to decide, but I would shop around for a better deal on the rate.
  6. I haven't trolled with it. By its very design it's a compromise, but it fits in a backpack or a suitcase and is much better then most of the rods that where available 20 years ago. It's not as sensitive, or strong, as a similar priced one piece but I'll let it role around in the trunk of my car and always have it with me.
  7. It's so hot…. I'm staying inside and not fishing. I pay good money for the AC, I'm sure has heck going to use it.
  8. It works, but your choices will be dictated by fashion not fishing... unless you go buy your own.
  9. Generally it should be fine, but if it was an older or lower end model you might have some problems but it's unlikely. Leave it out where it can get some air circulation and it should be fine and add dab of oil where needed.
  10. For most of my youth our catcher was also know as Pigpen.
  11. I have a 6 and a half foot telescoping version (medium spinning). No issues for me, although I haven't used it a lot. I bought it specifically for a trip to Cuba but I have used it a few other times. I picked up mine for about $80-$90 three years ago.
  12. Another option is to paint your own existing spinners.
  13. Pike really aren't a nocturnal predator. That doesn't meen you can't catch them when it's dark, but it's not the most productive method.
  14. I'm still hoping I can swing a trip there if I get to the winter classic.
  15. How the years fly by eh.
  16. I was under the impression that this was the season ending cliff hanger and next season's first episode will reveal the choice. This would also allow them to tape the up coming season this spring, summer and fall.
  17. The rear drag reels (2500 v 4000) have much less difference in drag size, if any, compared to front drag reels ( 2500 v 4000). And if drag is a serious concern the front drag is the best option period.
  18. Whale shark sucking fish out of a net. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/07/16/whale-shark-encounter-video-sucks-fish_n_1676604.html
  19. Because history has proven over and over again, sound logic has no place here.
  20. Watched a show a few months ago on what a scam prescription glasses were. Basically, anything over $150 for prescription glasses is licensed thievery. Gives you some idea as to the markup on sunglasses.
  21. I don't know for sure, but someone once said I could pass for a seven.
  22. I had to stop drinkin' at work because of that.
  23. Glad it worked out for you.
  24. All valid. The X-factor is what did the previous owner do (or didn't do) to the motor?
