Really sorry to hear that Mo, I know how much your dogs mean to you, and that's about the toughest thing any of us dog lovers will ever have to do. There'll be alot of us thinking of you today. Sorry !!

Yup, the Civic is for my daughter, but that's not to say I won't borrow it the odd time when I'm feeling "sporty" And as Mike the Pike says, as for her needing a car to race others away from traffic lights, that was never her style, she's looking for good reliable transportation, that's cheap to operate, but will give her good consistent performance and not need to be in the shop every 2nd week. As for General Motors, I'm a big fan myself and I've owned General Motors vehicles nearly exclusively for 40 years and have NEVER had a bad one. I've owned everything from Corvairs to Rivieras, some used, but many new ones, and have never had a lemon, nor have I ever had to pay out any large sums of money for repairs. I'm currentely driving a 2005 Safari and luv it, and it's my 2nd new Safari in just a few years. As for the Honda, I think it'll be an excellent car for my daughter and I certainly appreciate all the feedback from everyone. Thanks boyz & girlz

proboat, lets not get too carried away here

Yup, good to see you back again Rein. I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure Mr. Eh spends some time at Golden Eagle and has spoken highly of the place, infact, I think Dan the Man goes there too. Actually, while I'm doing all this guessing, I believe the owner of the camp is a member here....or used to be. Or am I thinking of a different place ??

I dunno, I recentely purchased a Lowrance online from Cabellas for $499 US and the same week in the Toronto BPS, the identical unit was going for $1017 CDN That's my only purchase from Cabellas, but I was pretty satisfied with their prices.

Wow, that's incredible, so many resposes about the Civic and every single one is good !! I don't think I ever saw a post around here before where everybody agreed on the same thing Maybe I should print this off and take it with me the next time I'm buying new GM.......could save me a few $$$$ Thanks folks !! Luv the signature Brian !!

She's a pretty good negotiator Nip, she'll work a deal

Thanks boyz, it's good to hear all the positive feedback on the Civic. They've been around alot of years and I don't recall ever hearing anything bad about them and I'll pass all your thoughts onto Sheri.

Since my daughter was forced off the road and her car totalled a couple weeks back, she's now ready to purchase a new vehicle and is interested in a new 2007 Honda Civic. She's like me and has always driven GM but is now ready to try something new. I've heard their sposed to be an excellent vehicle but was wondering if any of you folks have any 1st hand experience with them ?? Any thoughts ??

Thanks John, that was incredible !! WW11, South Pacific, Enola Gay & Chuck Yeager all rolled into miniature.....beautiful !!

Perfect answer Mo Hard wired systems are excellent, but a back-up should be included incase of an all out power failure.

8 children and 1 adult died in a fire in New York City last night....horrible !! Be sure you've got plenty of smoke detectors in your home and always keep good batteries in them. I change mine every 6 months and the best way to remember is to get in the habit of replacing the batteries every time you change your clocks for daylight savings......this weekend !! Have smoke detectors placed all over your house, but especially at the top of any stairway, and also in front of each bedroom door. If you don't have smoke detectors in your home now, go buy some, you can buy 3 smoke detectors for the price of 1 case of beer, a pretty cheap investment to keep your family alive.

Congrats Jon, the worst part is over now and it'll get easier everyday from here on. Just remember that no matter how much you want a puff, don't do it, or all the hard work you've done in the last couple days will be wasted. I quit back in '91 after sucking that crap into me for 30 years and it was by far the smartest thing I ever did, and in another month you'll be saying the same thing. Good luck Pal -
I got the Cabelas book on Monday, but I sure won't complain if somebodies mailing me a Premier too

Incredible, every trip you take us on, seems a little better than the last....thanks Mike

I have my feeder sitting on a 24" X 24" platform, on top of a 6' 6" galvanized pole, in the center of the yard, far from the fences, and so far the little critters haven't figured a way to get up there.........yet !!

Blaque, I seem to remember from an earlier post that you said your from the States ?? You may not be aware of it, but bass season doesn't open in most area's of Ontario until towards the end of June......just in case they were on your list of species to fish for. No problem with walleye though.

I just looked in the yard again, and now there's 35 doves in the tree. Jeeeez, I'm gonna hafta go back to work to be able to afford all this bird seed

I keep a bird feeder in the yard thru the winter and always enjoy seeing how many different species show up, and have seen alot of different ones over the years. Infact I got a bird identification book a few years back to sort them out. For some reason this year there haven't been as many different species as other years, but there's alot of cats around this year so maybe that's why, but I still get Blue Jays & Cardinals, but in the last couple weeks I've been getting Morning Doves and every day there's a couple more show up and this morning I had 22 of them in the trees in the yard. They show up at sunrise and spend most of the day here and then take off in the evening. Beautiful birds !! Hard to see in this picture taken 15 minutes ago, but there's 22 doves in the branches. Anybody else feed the critters in the winter ??
