A friend is a grade 4 teacher and she says normally with in class teaching the kids learn very well but when they're doing it on-line they just don't grasp things as easily. Plus no interaction with friends is very tough on them.

Beautiful bird and always good to see them around the house.

Great pictures Geoff, always good seeing the critters

That's lousy news Dan, you have my deepest condolences. Brothers are special people and it hurts when we lose them.

And it's still dark brown LOL

Actually my barber had another lady working for her and when the shop closed down she opened her own shop at her farm so I go there now. Another nice thing about country living is sitting in a barber chair and having horses right outside the window watching what's going on LOL
-
Yes, and I told her that too.

The lady that was cutting my hair until a year ago was a retired ICU nurse and when the virus got out of control she gave up her haircutting business and went back into the ICU to help save live. Darned impressive in my mind.

Lots of things fail sooner than we'd expect but it's just a chance we take when buying stuff. I had a fridge die after only 8 years and a 65" Samsung give up the ghost after only 4 years yet I have 3 Samsung TV's still working perfectly after 11 years. It's all just a coin toss if we get a good one or not.

This morning's news said 35 planes from India have landed in Canada in the last 2 weeks. -
Well yes, there is that too Steve 😁

I have a cell phone that pretty much lives in my truck and is basically only for emergencies or if my wife needs me for something while I'm out driving somewhere. I don't even remember the last time I used it. My landline in the house it how I communicate with people
-
My current truck cost 4 1/2 times what my 1st house cost....THAT'S inflation LOL

I've paid $85 for lures before but anything more than that is getting just plain crazy.

Some scary stuff there JD, glad to hear your on the mend. Walking is great exercise, I usually do 3-4 miles every day.

If this travel ban continues into the summer I'm wondering if it will include folks travelling around Ontario for vacation. We rent a cabin up on Nippissing for a couple weeks every June & August like thousands of other folks in Ontario and will they say it's not essential and we're not allowed to go ? If folks are told they can't travel to pre-booked places will they get their deposits back ? There's so many "if's" with this ban it's hard to figure what's included. I'm all for doing what's necessary to stop this virus but sometimes Ford seems to go too far.

Covid 19 and Canadian Border closing

We often seem to have trouble getting the vaccine shipments we're scheduled for, so the government (Ontario) decided to at least give everyone their 1st shot and then once that's done we'll work on the 2nd. I saw on the news this morning that 10,000 people in Toronto who were booked to get their shot this weekend have been cancelled because they don't have the vaccines available. Sad that a country like Canada has to depend on everyone else to supply something as important as this but we just don't make it ourselves but that's just my opinion. The U.S. loaned us 1.5 million doses (pfizer I think) and we'll just returned them once we ever get ahead of the game. -

I got the Pfizer vaccine on April 2nd and I get the 2nd shot July 23rd According to our experts they say that's perfectly OK -
You've received some good advice here siwash but just remember that there's absolutely nothing mystical or difficult about a baitcaster and just think of it as another tool in the box and in no time you'll be firing baits all over the lake without thinking about. As someone mentioned before just snug down the tension a bit to start and gradually loosen it off as you get the hang of it. I had all my reels set up so that I could fire a bait as hard as I wanted and as soon as it touched the water the reel would stop spinning. As the weight on the different baits changed it just takes a slight adjustment and your good to go again. Just takes a bit of practice & you'll be golden.

I got mine on Friday and the Mrs. goes tomorrow and then we're both booked in for mid July. Mine was the Pfizer and they told me that's what my wife will get also. Nice to start the protection process...if that's the term

If you see someone trying to launch or retrieve his boat that appears to lack experience, don't sit and criticize him but go over and offer some advice or even offer do it for him. Too many people forget they were new and inexperienced at boating at one time themselves but would rather sit back and ridicule others rather than offering to help.

Covid 19 and Canadian Border closing

I got my 1st vaccine down in Peterboro yesterday and 3 different people working at the clinic thanked me for doing my part to protect others and help put an end to this nightmare. My wife goes on Tuesday and then we both go back mid-July. And FWIW, I couldn't believe how well organized it was and how smoothly the entire process went....the proverbial well oiled machine. -
Well, the snow melted in about 2 hours and now the sun is shining so maybe spring has returned LOL
