  1. For my area this week they were calling for rain Thursday & Friday. Then yesterday they changed it and said rain Friday & Saturday This morning it's changed again and now their saying rain for Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday & Monday. May as well plan to work outside all weekend now as it'll probably be sunny & hot
  2. Yup, you got that right Art
  3. My Skeeter was made in Texas so I spose that makes it American too, but that's OK cause it's a nice boat.
  4. I've got very long arms Art
  5. I'll settle for 58 Roger
  6. Watch for my post in about 4 weeks Roger
  7. Thanks Jigger, that's what I was looking for.
  8. I was up at the West Arm a month ago and the water was up probably 8-10 inches or so and just above the docks. I'm heading back up in 3 weeks so I sure hope it goes down somewhere around normal by then. How much above normal do you think it is now Nipfisher ??
  9. That'd definitely be a rewarding day for you RJ and congrats to the angler too Great stuff for sure !!
  10. Thanks Steve, I know about that one but just prefer the causeway ramp but will be a back-up if need be, or maybe even run up to Emerald Ilse.
  11. You available tomorrow Shane, I'll probably fish till early afternoon. . Absolutely Albert, anytime at all.
  12. Merrell has had a great reputation for years but I'm wondering if their starting to go downhill. I bought a pair of Merrell sandals 2 years ago and payed $115 and when I got home and took them outta the box I noticed alot of the stitching was already loose. I took them straight back to the store and exchanged them for another pair, but checked them carefully before leaving and they looked fine. I wore them for 2 weeks and then I noticed the stitching was fraying and coming apart so I took them back for a refund. I complained to the manager about the garbage they were selling and was told that because nearly every make of sandal is now in the far east that's what we could expect from now on. The Merrells were made in China I ended up with a pair of Columbia's made in Viet Nam and after 2 years their still in decent shape.
  13. I think the silliest superstition is the one where someone actually thinks a silly superstition will actually have an effect on your days fishing success
  14. Sorry Mike, but my Sorrell Gortex hiking boots are about 14 years old and they are still absolutely waterproof to this day even after all the wear they've had. I payed $185 back then for them and their worth every $$$$
  15. Great idea Albert, meet me at the ramp at 8 and bring your musky pole
  16. Does anyone know for sure if the dock is in place at the boat ramp on the west end of the Chemong Lake causeway ?? I may fish there tomorrow if the dock is in but will go somewhere else if not. It's a great ramp with good parking but can be a pain by yourself without the dock to tie up to while parking the truck.
  17. Cute little pup you've got there Brian !!
  18. Outstanding pictures Joey !!
  19. Always nice when your recognized for doing something well Dave !!
  20. You've got that right Roger, I'm so busy now I wouldn't have time for a job, but that's the way I like it.
  21. My plans for the weekend have changed but maybe I'll get out one day next week. Being retired and living in the heart of the Kawarthas and surrounded by muskies though, missing opening day isn't such a big deal
  22. You pretty well summed it all up right there Dave !!
  23. Yeah, but we can vote him out, we have no say in the weather doods
  24. And the worst part it these guys doing the predicting are probably well paid for their efforts. Is there any other job in the country where your paid for being wrong on a very regular basis ??
  25. Threads like this are really enjoyable as it shows how we all have different like & dislikes and vastly different preferences for our gear. It'd be a pretty boring world if we all liked the same thing !!
