  1. Good to hear from you again Peter, it has been a long time. Congrats on getting married and looks like your really enjoying your life in one of the nicest parts of Canada.
  2. Good to know everyone is in agreement with me.
  3. It's too bad as I've dealt with these folks a few times and their prices have always been good but I don't like this new policy and I've got a well respected dealer much closer to me with the lowest price.
  4. Wear pattern is perfect and something I always keep an eye on.
  5. I like the Michelin Defender tires for my F150 and I'll be buying a new set in the spring when I take off my winter wheels & tires. I was phoning around yesterday to get some prices and one tire dealer told me something I've never heard of before. I MUST allow them to check my wheel alignment ... (for free) ... and if adjustments are needed they'll do it for $140. If I decline the offer it will void the warranty on the tires. I saw something on the net awhile back about a scam similar to this but didn't read the article and just wondered if anyone else has heard of this before. FWIW, I'm very fussy about my tires, rotate the every 5000 miles, check the pressures regularly and replace them every 6 years.
  6. That was actually one of the nicest sunrises I've seen this year so thought it was worth taking a picture of.
  7. If you want to drive to Burleigh Falls I've got a bunch of 6" x 6" x 15" pieces that your more than welcome to. LOL
  8. Stack up some 4 x 4's instead and you'll have nothing to worry about.
  9. Good to hear the eye is getting better Brian.
  10. They're at the dealerships waiting to be purchased.
  11. This is the classified section Doug, try re-posting in General Discussion...Non-Outdoors and you'll probably reach a larger crowd.
  12. I always used 4 x 4"s front & back on the trailer then adjustable jack stands in the middle for a bit of extra support. Once everything was done I put a couple bowls of mothballs in the boat before covering it up. Never had an issue with critters even during many winters stored inside a barn.
  13. Was always my go-to Bill, big ole black @ orange Grim Reaper 950.
  14. Nice fish for that young fella.
  15. Give it a try for sure Bill and hopefully it works for you too.
  16. I used Suicks a lot in the past Bill and always found they worked best...for me anyways...when they were neutral buoyant and just sat still between twitches. I liked to cut out a section of the belly and add stick on wheel weights then fill it in with epoxy. Different size baits would get different amounts of weights.
  17. Just came on the news.
  18. My buds been up at the West Arm of Nip this week and he boated 5 nice ones from mid 40's up to 52"
  19. Good stuff Bill, the K Lakes are a fun place to fish for sure.
  20. Front eye shallow....rear eye deep.
  21. I liked the Tekota 600LC reels for trolling for musky but have no experience with salmon.
  22. Most of the outer limbs were allowed to freefall Dave but the heavy ones were lowered by rope so as not to gouge the lawn when they hit and also my septic bed was nearby so the ones above that were all lowered by rope.
  23. I had a crew here yesterday to take down a large elm tree in the back yard and it was really impressive to watch them working very methodically thru the tree with their ropes and pulleys so I took a few pics.
