  1. Bears are somewhat common around my place Barry and one nice encounter was walking out on the back deck early one morning and finding this big fella laying in my yard.
  2. Thanks Barry, you've shown us a few excellent critter pictures, specially that grizzly.
  3. A boat was running around Clear Lake yesterday towing a water skier, mind you he was wearing a wetsuit but still a gutsy move LOL
  4. Beautiful work Chris, really nice.
  5. Looks great Pete, you bud has some talent for sure.
  6. My last boat was glass and it was far better than any of my other boats and if I ever buy another boat it will definitely be glass again.
  7. I saw 6 robins this morning and a bear turned over a neighbors BBQ last night so your right, it must be spring, even though we've still got plenty of snow but it's starting to go.
  8. Fishing used to be so simple before all the crazy expensive electronics came along LOL
  9. Good to hear your still getting into them Mike.
  10. Lots of guys for sure Bill and this is only my opinion but I'd second what someone said above and try and get out with Marc Thorpe if possible. He knows that river inside out and works his butt off to find the fish. That fish in my 3rd picture above came on Marcs boat when I fished with him many moons ago.
  11. Lots to smile about at Lakair back then Phil, fun times 😊
  12. Just my sparkling personality Pete LOL
  13. There's for sure some real nice fish in the St. Lawrence River
  14. I spent 3 hours clearing my driveway this morning then went over and did my neighbors but it was well worth it as she came over a few minutes ago with a carrot cake as a thankyou LOL
  15. Your welcome to my picture if it's any use to you Chris.
  16. His name was Andy Kartashov (sp) Dan and he was a great guy. Him and I became good friends and fished together quite a bit and then after a few years he gave up his website (muskiestriker) and just sorta drifted off into the sunset.
  17. Good to hear Chris.
  18. The good ole days Norm
  19. Same thing here Norm, I think this is only the 2nd one I've seen around here infact I've seen far more bears than owls or coyote's.
  20. This big guy has been hanging around all day, hope he doesn't grab one of my song birds that spend the winter here.
  21. My Dad joined the Navy in 1940 and his brother joined the army the same day. Both gave up 5 years of their lives to help beat Germany and both came home safely at the end of the war. My mom's brother flew bombers over Europe and sadly was killed in 1943 when his plane went down. My dad's father spent WW1 as a sniper in the British Army in the trenches of France and said he killed far too many people but it was something he had to do. He was hit by shrapnel and awarded the Military Medal but made it home in 1918. Thankfully he lived a long and wonderful life in Ontario and I was lucky enough to love him till I was 35 years old. 3 of my mother's uncles fought in WW1 with the Canadian Army and also all made it home. I'm always very proud of my family and the contributions and sacrifices they all made to help make the world a better place for the rest of us but especially on November 11. My Dad home on leave. And Mom's brother delivering Airmail in Ontario before he started flying bombers.
  22. Pretty kool to watch
  23. No chance of that Wayne.
  24. That's exactly the way I looked at it too John and is also the reason I won't be going back there again. Too bad really as I've always had excellent service from them before with purchases of 3 sets of tires plus new wheels for Sheri's car.
