  1. Thanks for the offer Cliff, I've got a number for a Canadian LG parts supplier I'm gonna call this morning who hopefully has the plastic bit I need plus the guy in Lakefield.
  2. Good to hear everythings OK Cliff.
  3. That's probably better than being a liability Chris LOL
  4. Or more
  5. And I also remember wearing steel cleats on my heels so they WOULDN'T wear out George. Trouble was though, the shoes would be 15 years out of style before they needed to be replaced
  6. Thanks Dax, it's definitely a great day but I don't think I've been to the show since I moved up here 5 years ago.
  7. I still laugh every time I think of the nasty nasty PM I received after making that post, that was some really funny stuff Mike No, I won't be going to the show this year, I don't fish much anymore and don't use even a fraction of the gear I have now. Maybe it's time for a garage sale LOL
  8. Yeah, good customer service like that goes a VERY long way.
  9. Thanks for the link FloatnFly, if the fella in town can't help me I'll give them a try.
  10. That's what it should have been in the 1st place Mike. The LG screen is actually pretty nice though with excellent clarity and colors although it doesn't seem so good laying flat on it's face. There's a computer repair place in town that's pretty good so I'll go see him tomorrow before I try tracking it down online.
  11. It's definitely a throw away world we're living in now George.
  12. Doesn't really show in the pictures but that piece of plastic that snapped is quite flimsy and makes you wonder why they wouldn't use something a little more substantial to hold the weight of a 25 inch screen.
  13. Sounds to me you found a cop on a power trip. Hope your gonna see him in court.
  14. Wife and I are out in the kitchen an hour ago and we hear a bang coming from the den so I walk in to find my 25" computer screen laying face down on the desk.....WHAT THE HECK ?? This bracket is screwed onto the back of the screen That 1" square tab slides into the arm of this base And the darned thing just snapped off Screen still works fine so that's a good thing but I'm using the laptop now and will call LG on Monday and see if they've got another bracket. I dunno, but it seems harder to find decent quality products anymore.
  15. I went to the Spring Show in 09 intending to pick up a couple musky baits but came home with a new Skeeter instead. The day cost me a tad more than I planned on spending
  16. You must be as old as me
  17. And while we're on the topic of government interference with kids having fun, lets not forget about all the municipalities banning tobogganing for fear of getting sued if little Johnny falls down and gets hurt. All I know is I'm glad I was a kid in a time when we we're allowed to go out and have fun without Big Brother hanging over our shoulders and telling us fun is now against the rules. Alot of young guys laugh when us older guys talk about the "Good Ole Days" but believe me when I tell you they really were.
  18. That's nasty stuff Cliff but with being unconsious for a full minute I'd think a checkup by a doctor would be in order. Not a good thing when you rattle your brain like that.
  19. For you boys who are giving up fishing top water baits because your thinking they don't produce, your missing the opportunity to get some very nice fish. Not much different from not doing a figure 8 after EVERY cast.
  20. Wait till you hook a biggun on a top water in total darkness late at night Pete when you can't see your hand in front of your face. That REALLY get's the old heart pounding LOL
  21. Saw it on the news Joey and agree with you 100%
  22. My daughter and I were out musky fishing one evening and I was giving her a few pointers on top water fishing. She was casting a Topraider which is her favorite bait and I was twitching a Doc. I explained to her that a musky will often come up under a bait and just knock it out of the way, but just keep on cranking as she'll often come back and hit it again. Few minutes later we both cast at the same time and as we were cranking our baits in a musky blew up on mine but missed the hooks. I said to her, "there, that's exactly what I was talkin about" The musky then turned and hit Sheri's bait, she set the hook perfectly and led the fish into the net. She looked at me and said..."so what's so tough about that ??" darned kids !!
  23. Mostly if your banging your baits along the bottom Shane, just keeps the braid away from the sharp stuff a bit better.
  24. Like anything else Peter, it's just a personal preference and just a length I find works well for me. Some guys use longer leads and some only use about 12". Ask 10 guys and you'll probably get 10 different opinions LOL
