  1. And it sure beats carrying around a larger tank and hose (to trip over)
  2. Hey Shore, I own the larger version of this hut and I love it. Ours is the 4-6 man size (3 guys comfortably). I think they are good (value) huts. They are easy to transport as they are light weight and have the added convenience of a floor to keep your toes warm. Good investment in my opinion.
  3. Ya, but they gotta prove I just filled them. Thats why I leave the adapter locked up at home. LOL
  4. Hey Mike, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I hope all goes well for your dad. I unfortunately lost my dad due to diverticulitis ten years ago and I still miss him. As others have said, be thankful that he is still around and that they have caught it now and he can be treated. All the best for a speedy recovery! Cheers.
  5. Got mine on Ebay last year. They work great. I will suggest that you buy a digital food scale (Walmart) to avoid overfilling the tanks.. The empties weigh 13.5 oz and you add the 16 oz of fuel for a total of 29.5 oz. Make sure you freeze the empties before filling them. Here is the link to the one I bought on Ebay. http://cgi.ebay.ca/Brass-Propane-Bottle-Re...=item2c4fe417ce If you can get it locally as Terry has said, get it. I was under the impression that they are not legal to sell up here. Thats why I ended up buying it on Ebay. Cheers.
  6. Thanks for that tip Suds. I will get a cover for the auger head for sure. Cant wait for the Lake to freeze up good so we can give it a good test!!
  7. Bassassin, you may want to rethink the whole three wheeler thing. I was like you, looking to spend a grand or less and the only way to go was an 80's three wheeler. I took one out on the snow and almost instantly got stuck. I ended up buying a four wheel drive ATV and it still is dicey out there when there is snow. You will need an ownership and insurance if you move it off your own property.
  8. Thanks EE and tibbs, I cant wait to get out there and try it out. As for fishman2202 (my son), we're going to enjoy fishing for whities and lakers more this year. We will give those perch a break!! LOL.
  9. I was thinking of a fairing as well. Might look to add that next year. I'll see how it goes this year (if it ever comes. LOL)
  10. Wayne, it does stick out slightly on either side protected by the metal mounting bracket. I only fish Lake Simcoe but can see your point about running through the bush. I would have to re-think the bracket if I change my fishing routine.
  11. Terry was yours a four wheel drive ATV? I was at Royal Distributing and was looking at the chains. I dont know how my machine will be in deeper snow on the lake. I may pick up a pair (or two).
  12. Thanks Terry. Its my first ATV, but I love my Yamaha too!
  13. So I have finally finished my ATV rig for ice fishing. My son and I really got into it late last year so I decided to get the ATV ready for this year. I added a two up seat (I know it may not legal, but I will take my chances on the lake)I made up a new basket for the front that hold two Rubbermaid roughnecks and my Mr. heater. I added a thumb warmer and hot grips as well. The ice auger was a challenge but I made a metal bracket to hold it on the back of the ATV secularly. The minnow bucket fits on the back of the two up seat where the gas can usually goes, perfectly. There is tons of storage to hold my essential items such as shovel, tackle and tip ups. I can’t wait for the ice to be safe (soon I hope!!!!) to take this machine out for some lakers, whities and perch. Thought I would share it with all of you. Hope to see everyone on Lake Simcoe soon!! Cheers. [
  14. Merry Christmas Wayne. All the best to you and your family!
  15. Hey Ryan, I have the same hut. Your gonna love it!! I take my son and his buddy and we fish comfortably in the hut. I have a Mr. Buddy heater (I keep on low for most of the time). I made one upgrade to my hut. Are you towing it out with a sled or ATV or walking out with it? Tony
  16. Which Canadian Tire Store di you see them at?
  17. Awesome job Jacques!! Have you considered a job in film making?
  18. Hey nice going Jacques and Paul!! Nice to see those nice healthy large fish. Great pics and reports (as always). Tony
  19. Should we be referring to it as driver's side or passenger side? LOL
  20. Looking at the past discussion on this topic I can now see that drivers obstruction and weight distribution would make the logical decision to mount it on the left side.
  21. I never thought of that. I seem to see fine with it there now as I sit fairly high up on the boat. Does make sense though. Thanks.
  22. Hi guys. Just bought a new Minn Kota Fortrex 80 for my boat to replace my old PD55. I'm really looking forward to the extra push the 80 will give me. It is going to be mounted the bow of the Alumicraft boat I have where the old motor now sits. The motor was mounted by the place I bought it from a few years ago on the right side of the boat. Most of the boats I see have it mounted on the left. Does it matter which side it is mounted on? It doesn't say much about the mounting in the installation manual so I thought it may just be a preference. Thank-you in advance for you help.
  23. It feels like that hard water weather hasn't gone away. I'm looking forward to the hard water as well but I'm with Henry, enjoy the soft water while I can!!!
  24. Thanks Jacques. When are you going to get your daughter into a tournament. Maybe a father/daughter tourny???
