Then, at the start of a new season, you get yourself a replacement for Harold. This time you get yourself a female...for argument's sake, let's call her Brittany. You can spend the whole season watching Brittany in the aquarium then when the season is about to close, you eat Brittany.......and it continues..... I have NO idea, Brandon.

J went shopping (again) this morning. I was in the midst of finishing some bathroom renovations and was apprehensive as to what she was out shopping for. Anyhow I heard her arrive and winced as I yelled out "what did you get?". She didn't answer and just brought me two boxes and said "happy Easter". You just gotta love a 65 year old sweetie who goes to the trouble of finding an old prop in the garage and driving out to the marine dealer to get you some boat stuff. Works for almost every fish species. I've been dropshotting for more than 50 years. Of course back then it was just called 'fishing with a sinker'.

I hear ya pikehunter but I fish alone a lot of the time and they're pretty well useless for a lone fisherman. They are good for measuring fish in the water though.

I usually land them by hand but if it's unsafe (pun intended) I use a 3804 26"x30" Tru-Trax Landing Net. For muskies I now use the 8465 28"x50" PowerCatch Kwik Kradle. All Frabill.

I'll say it again.... I think the question asked here was not "How do we get kids involved in fishing?" but rather "How can we make our club bigger and more profitable?" You can do both but you'll have to do the "unprofitable" part first. Take kids fishing for the love of fishing and the outdoors. Don't take them fishing because you want them to buy a $225. yearly membership to your fishing club. That's my opinion.

I've been working my tail off getting things done to try to have a 4 day weekend...it doesn't look good. Woke up to trees heavy with freshly fallen snow. Looked at the 10 day forcast here and it looks as though there'll be snow/rain for the next week till Saturday. But hey, I'm breathing, mobile, have food on the table, my kids are healthy.
