  1. That was just bloody excellent, Simon. You lead a charmed life and I'm happy for you and your family. Just great, thank you so much for taking the time to put it together.
  2. Sounds good to me, Brian. You've just picked the date.....now, have you picked the venue?
  3. I have no idea what you're talkin' about me Brudder. Good tune though.
  4. Hey Wayne! I heard that! The 2009 get together date was weird because, I thought that a lot of folks might be glad that bass was open for the get together but, as it turned out, a few were unhappy that the Canada Day celebrations were kind of in the way of their plans. Or should I say, the get together was in the way of the Canada Day plans. Anyhow, I still don't have the 2010 regs but I'm pretty sure they'll still have bass opening on the 4th Saturday in June. We can have it on the weekend of the 19th or the 26th. Have to also talk to Lakair and see what they feel comfy with. We should have something in the next month or so.
  5. Women want me, fish fear me It's on the OFC shirts, Rob.
  6. Norm, wasn't that Rod and Reel Streamside that Holdfast mentioned back on page one? edit: No, couldn't be that one...the one Holdfast mentioned was with Bill Saif out of New York...Henderson Harbour I think.
  7. Mike, I'm about the worst person to be suggesting anything even remotely akin to photography but if I can offer you this ONE tip.... You should post this same question in the photography section of the board. If you like, you can leave it here and post again there or I can move the thread to photography. Your call. good luck.
  8. Some of the best advice I've heard, Larry. Good on ya.
  9. They ARE very nice fish. But the problem is that you can't fish again till you've consumed a few of what you already have. I'm sure you have some good recipes and they'll go fast.
  10. You're right about both those guys, Verminator.
  11. Maybe you should try the Red October tube? But what the heck, I'll take a guess. Run a stalker type bait (9+ inches), perch pattern, in 15-20 FOW at slower than summer speeds....maybe 3mph. Use down rods and keep the bait spotless. Lock the reel down and watch the sonar when you can. Don't drag it more than 15-20' from the prop wash. ps. Make sure that your net and release tools are in top shape. I really want to see how this works out so give us a report....please.
  12. Good luck Fish Farmer. Play safe out there..I know you'll do well whatever you use.
  13. Oh hell yeah! Five of the fish are AWOL.... I'm sure they were released!
  14. You have a PM.
  15. HAHAHA There's something to be said for having a super bright team captain.
  16. Mike, I regret to inform you that a $30 solar panel will not charge your battery much less over-charge it.
  17. Nice motor. Welcome aboard....didn't the good folks at IBoats answer all your questions?
  18. I understand what you're saying but a baitcaster doesn't look as cute in an avatar or in every trout or salmon pic posted. The pin's colours are made for getting photographed!
  19. Ok, I was just going by your T-shirt. Very nice fish though.
  20. Nice bass there. Supper for tomorrow night?
  21. Nice fish. Are you out of New York?
  22. Good, as long as all the officers are on the same wavelength.
  23. A great one Joe!
  24. I haven't hunted in years. I no longer know which laws are in place nor does it matter to me unless I want to get back to hunting. However, from your above quote, I would say that you were participating in the hunt. Why put yourself in that position? Why would you even want to have a CO with all the best intentions, who knows neither you nor your bud make a judgment call on your intentions? I don't understand this.
  25. Congrats to you both. You shouldn't have anything to be nervous about.
