  1. It's a marula tree. You might have seen bottles of Amarula at the LCBO.
  2. I'm missing something here, Don.
  3. Paul is correct. http://www.upmpg.com/tech_articles/motoroil_viscosity/
  4. I read that yesterday TB. You're right, a very interesting concept and not something that us mere mortals would have considered. Something else that always jumps out at me when I read any of Pete Maina's articles is that they're never wordy. The man could say in a couple of paragraphs what many would flower up with filler. His stuff is always interesting and to the point. Thanks for bringing it up.
  5. At least you went to Subway Wayne. Good boy......here's a cookie.
  6. Thanks for the report David. I'll be there in about a month.
  7. So are you having yours removed Dann?
  8. Hey Dan....what the heck does "in my oat" mean? Also, would you mind moving your head? I can't read the menu.
  9. Makes mental note *Tom prefers his stuff broken*
  10. Thanks Hon...I needed that.
  11. Yes, station licenses are not needed here but you'd better have one if you find yourself in US waters.
  12. As long as you stay dry and comfortable, I see no reason why it would be worse with rain in the mix. But perch are not night feeders so try to get that stuff done before nightfall.
  13. Steve, your son will have no problem at all using a deepcycle as a starting battery. They're especially more efficient if he's running electronics off of one. The problem in the past was that the older motors needed more cranking amps to start...it's no longer the case. I'm still using two deepcycles for the bowmount and a starting battery for the main motor but that may change because my main sonar/gps unit is 8,000 watts peak to peak. Tell him to keep a set of jumper cables onboard to power up his main motor from the bowmount battery if he ever gets stuck.
  14. Ok, before you were just bragging a little but now you're getting downright obnoxious! Great report Mike....thanks for that. Glad you have a new fishing friend as well.
  15. That's great news Lew. The folks from our Power and Sail Squadron are straight shooters so at least you know that you're getting the best advice/courses available. Nice when stuff works out.
  16. Hey Lew, I think your best bet would be to contact the Peterborough Power and Sail Squadron. They offer several courses. It's also all on their website. http://www.peterboroughsafeboating.org/courses.htm
  17. No problems with Power Pro here.
  18. Driving anywhere there's wildlife is dangerous. Really thankful that Sheri is ok.
  19. Good tip, Fisherman.
  20. Great reporting Joey.....I have a feeling that the dude with the white hat on the ground is in a little trouble too. Glad no one got hurt.
  21. Good shootin' Pete! Don't you just love when everything just comes together like that? I'm sure the youngster will be talking about his outing for a while to come. Congrats to you both.
  22. Great report...some super fine fish in there. Thanks for sharing that with us.
  23. Super report Hon! Glad Paul got the 'bird' happening too. Also very nice to have a place to return to every year to make memories. Only two fish you say but they're both great fish and you're really getting quite good at the scenery and wildlife captures with that cam of yours. As John Gielgud would say... "I look forward to your next report with great eagerness." ps. Meant to reply yesterday but got sidetracked by the boss.
  24. Fantastic report Dave! And yes, great choice on the tune. You realize of course that without having "fixed" the backgrounds, the next time you get out there, you'll be shoulder to shoulder with wannabees eh? I'm sure that lots of folks wish they had done the trip but lots of those folks don't have the garbonzos to actually pull it off. Congrats to you and your bud Terry. Thanks for showing us.
  25. Yes you will wear through the thin plating of silver, gold or whatever eventually. If you still want to keep those baits, I'd suggest properly applied, good quality powder paints in the colour(s) of your choice. At least that's what I'd do with them.
