007 you seem to be the "king of small fish" on OFC haha ... i thought my "PB" carp was small but i think it's about the same size as yours other than that i'm no match for the other species ... love those colors on these cute little ones though

even though muskies are rare you might want to watch out for those ... we saw some big pike coming out of centre island / lako o shoreline too don't forget your lifejacket

same as solopaddler the items that concern me the most are the lifejackets and the whistles ... other than the items required by law/regs, you might want also want to look into some other things like: 1) canoe seats - it is tough to stand and fish with two people so you might end up with sore backs after a full day of paddling and fishing 2) rod holders - allow you to troll slowly while your hands are busy paddling as far as "pimping up your ride", i think you should talk to jediangler, his canoe is "fully loaded" lol good luck and i can't wait for your first canoe report! p.s. bungee cords are great for tying up canoe on the top of the car ... much faster than tying knots everytime

we hide carp spots the same reasons why bass/musky/walleye/trout anglers hide their spot ... you might not like carp and you don't care but out of all the carp anglers there are unethical ones and we care

an intro would be nice ... as for pike/muskie ... (if you don't have a net) it's best to lift them up using two hands, one under the head and the other one under the tail part ... do not hold them vertically ... and try to keep them out of the water as little time as possible... o also, watch out for those sharp teeth!

those are some lean machines! must have been fun to catch them with 6lb line in such clear water

with the special dance you only caught 9? what a disappointment mike. I would expect your bite alarm batteries to go out in just one outing if you wipe out the dance move. now when i'm done exams i gotta develop one move that would make them swim into my hands.

nice fish! congrats on the PB cliff! i agree with Dutch, i think you should find some local newspaper office and claim the record. seriously though, that fish got some girth ... a 19" that i caught was 3.3lbs, and it wasn't fat at all
