Fish Farmer replied to Raycaster's topic in General Discussion
You need to take a mortgage out for a day launch at Fifty. I think Fishermans is open think it $15.00 to launch. -
Thanks Wayne. This thing is very confusing, like the boat launches being open, not all are open. I have a pass at 50 Pt. it's a conservation park with a boat launch and marina, you can go in walk around and socialize but the boat launch is blocked off till June, go figure??๐ก๐ข Maybe it's the different police person, some maybe more lenient than others.๐ Do I want to take a chance getting fined? Like said above, it maybe illegal getting ticketed but going to court to fight it is ????๐ I guess I'm a wimp or say chicken crap...... but $880.00 is nicer in MY pocket than theirs๐ OH, I did go fishing on Erie Sat. for 10 hours Walleye fishing. didn't get a tap, nada fish, not even a snag, but MAN!! did it feel good to get the leash off๐

So your saying it doesn't mater how many people can go with you in the boat fishing. I'm just going by what has been said. Fines that have been given out are fake news? Myself, if the rules are not followed the municipality will board things up again.
-
$840.00 to be exact. A friend told me the other day a guy he knows got dinged had another guy in his truck from another address.
-
It's not 6' it's 7', 2 meters Everyone should fish by them self till this crap is over and they change the rules. $800.00 fines and they will be watching. Please everyone don't screw this up for the rest of us.

flying squirel nest in my outboard, what to do?
Fish Farmer replied to chris.brock's topic in Non-Outdoors Open Discussion
My question is, how did they get in there in the first place with the cowling on the motor? Just move the nest to the ground and let nature do it's course, if you don't they'll be back in there year after year. -
There's so many Walleye out there now you don't have to troll Just drift or jig for them with a spinning rod, so much more fun and you get your limit. May take you a little longer. Had a buddy out last year that hates trolling, I had to laugh he was using his 13' noodle rod spinning reel drifting, his rod was bent right over almost double, Walleye on, fought it to the boat, was only 2 Lbs.๐ He had a blast.

If I went home after 2-3 hours of fishing I wouldn't bother going. Fishing is a all day thing. I think I'd have to do the catch and release thing.๐๐

Gets me, they haven't stoped air travel and cruises. And there the ones that got us in this crap, so who's blaming who, I guess it's the ones that stay in our country and want to do a littls fishing.

AAAH so that's your secret in attracting in those Whities, you have multiple talents my friend.๐๐ -
Like I said wire direct to the battery, finder first wire. Call Joslin at Angling outfitters, he'll tell you anything else is called dirty power. Anybody on here been to his seminars, they say he's God in the fishfinder world. nothing that guy doesn't no about them.

Browns in Lake O Anyone fishing yet?
Fish Farmer replied to Old Ironmaker's topic in General Discussion
Bro your to much buddy๐๐ I had the same set up all my life as yours.๐๐ And it worked just fine. Crazy how things change. A friend that had the spot lock Terrova before me, I hope hes going to read this, because it was him that talked me into one in 85 FOW one day was jiggin lake Trout in Lake O. I think he'd said he was up to almost 50 in a few hours on the spot he was jiggin. When I first saw him at a distance thought he was in trouble because I saw his arms moving, moving all right, hauling fish in none stop. I tried to stay with him and jig with my transon mount 30 what a joke, motor in one hand and rod in the other trying stay with him in that area, lakers were stacked, I caught one and he was hauling them in. I went home and had to tell the wife about my day and the reason I had to treat myself to this thing that makes you catch more fish๐๐, I think you know that look on a womans face๐๐plus I told her it would be easier on my buddy sitting infront of the boat on the anchor rope and were in 70 FOW and I tell him were moving every 10 mins. I think you now what used to be my buddy told me๐ก๐ก๐. Told her it was only a few bucks๐๐๐๐. Steve hope your reading this buddy.๐ OH and my used to be buddy is back sitting infront of the boat๐ -

Yes the Terrova has Spot Lock it's called, Get the 24 volt 80 lb. 60" shaft. I know it's expensive. A buddy of mine is getting the Power Drive it's cheaper and it apparently has Spot Luck only 70 LB. He bought it at Bill's Bait. -
Yes graphs on first then the rest.
-
I run a deep Cycle Battery for starting and accessories on my boat, Except, my 2 X 12's I run my 24 volt elec motor on the front.
-
Wire straight to the battery, it will eliminate your problem. I had the same issue with starting my motor, my machine would turn off. Since I wired direct problem solved. Make sure the first wire that goes on your battery is the one to your finder.

Fined any good jiggin spots Steve like the one off Grimsby a few years back. Man that was crazy for awhile. Since you talked me into a Ipilot I've been doing good Jiggin Walleye on Erie, plus it's a good Perch weapon๐๐ -

Fish Farmer replied to Fish Farmer's topic in General Discussion

I broke through the ice at shore walking off pulling my portable, went into about 4' of water. When I went down felt something pop in my leg. When I crawled out I couldn't put any pressure on my leg, I was a mess, soaked and could hardly walk, make a short story a guy and his wife came to my rescue and helped me get my stuff in my truck. Went to hospital next day and with this virus thing, emerg was lined up out the door so I went back home. Next day early morning got in about an hour. Doc said I ripped a muscle in my upper leg, going to heal in about 6 weeks or more. Doc told me to stay off the ice, must have talked to my wife because she gives me crap, grow up your 71 and not a kid anymore.๐ข๐ Good job I have trouble hearing๐. The kids got me some crotches I used them for a day and had enough of them, I just hobbled around. Legs coming around now, just limping. Thanks for the offer Johnny I'm on the mend.๐ Getting the boat ready now, hoping to get out and chase some Browns on L. Ont. -
