Now a days EVERYONE is getting squeezed...don't know what pay scale your postal workers have but ours is some of the best you can get for a unskilled worker...unless reading addresses is a skill...LOL But remember where this phrase comes from "GOING POSTAL".... I'm sure your government will intervene and get things back to normal...hopefully before anyone goes POSTAL.

I would use Silicone caulking and I'm sure it would seal for ever....not really a big deal....but these fitting are available....most boating/marine stores do stock these fittings and should be very reasonable...I replaced mine about 10 years ago....got it on the shelf at the Marina I purchased my boat YEARS before. Good Luck, Bob

I liked the idea of 2 liter pop bottles in areas they will fit...just a little caulk on the threads and cap them...good to go...and then spray foam in areas that bottles will not fit. Bob

Many of the LMS 520C units had trouble with reading shallow depths, especially in weedy areas....but Lowrance now has a permanent fix via a easy download from their site.....BUT YOU NEED a 1G or smaller SD card so that the LMS 520C unit will read it. Then there is a shallow mode you select once this is downloaded...you can just keep it in the shallow mode all the time unless you hit Lake Ontario and fish in the DEEP water (150+ feet). Also there is a "TRACK UP" selection via the menu. Here's the download you require..... http://www.lowrance.com/en/Products/Marine/Full-Size-SonarGPS-Chartplotter-Combos/LMS-520C/Downloads/LMS-520C-Software-Update/ Bob

Everyone has already said it...but I need to say just one thing Bernie... SWEET Bob

All our Auto Parts Stores will give you a free reading for codes....they just hope you're going to buy their parts. Gas caps can also be a BIG problem.....buy a new sometimes works but a lot of times it the seal on the gas filler neck being "just" a bit corroded and not making a good seal...take some Vaseline and put it on the neck where the gasket will ride....many times this does the trick.

I have one of those OLD 5lb tanks....still at least half full....I will have to visit the Res to get it filled because no one else will do it here because of it's age....but I do love that little 5lb tank.

I don't need no stink-en boating card.....I fall in between the cracks... Thank God because I would probably fail....

You need LOTS of rope....80 feet would be at least 240 feet of rope for a decent angle....much more if it's a rough day. Also I have about 3' of 1/2" chain on my anchor then the rope.....I have't had to anchor in 80' but many times in 70+ feet on Lake Erie when the perch go deep late in the summer.

I remember my last fishing trip and stopping at the boarder for questioning....basically all the same stuff....then she asked me if I had any firearms or knives....I said NO....and was allowed to proceed....as I'm driving off I began to think...I was asked where are you going..."FISHING" I replied....then the last question...do you have any knives and instantly I just said "NO"....I must have a half dozen knives within my boat and truck whenever I'm going fishing or hunting....I leave 2 in the truck at all times just in case I do forget my regular hunting knife and at least 4 fillets knives in the the boat...who goes fishing without a knife ? ? ? What would of happened if I said, SURE DO...several of them...

I remember some guys saying that and that is what concerned me....but then other guys said they had it in no time....go figure... They did tell me if I didn't receive my license before I left I could call them and they would fax me a copy.... Bob

Well then, THANKS RON..... I am a bit leery when dealing with government agencies and especially this time since it was from another country and the mail service....etc..... What I did notice the girl put in a completely wrong name for the village I live in but because she got my zip code correct it made it here without a problem...and in record speed.... I always thought with zip codes that the city you live in is really irrelevent but I guess the USPS doesn't..... We even have another four digits after our zip code now that gets the mail to the proper house without a street name or town required....someday I'll have to mail something to myself using just that 9 digit zip code to see if it works...it should.

UNBELIEVABLE........I was concerned when I ordered my Ontario fishing license via a phone call as I am heading to the "Great White North" in 4 weeks....but purchasing one is a PITA once you get on the road via QEW, ect....so I ordered it plus a outdoor card for wifey and her licenses as well....And I got it yesterday, ONLY 6 DAYS after I ordered it....NOW THAT'S SERVICE.... Bob

I would suggest getting your Native Canadians involved....are they too restricted to NO FISHING in this area....if not then maybe they can help break this redickulaus "BY-LAW" apart for the sake of kids wanting to fish this area.

Get yourself any of the traditional brands...Merc, Johnson, Evinrude, Yammy, Honda....even if it's 10 years old it will still be better then that brand new China JUNK they are advertising. In a couple of years you wouldn't even be able to give the China JUNK away, where you can easily sell a traditional brand with almost no loss. -
Mounted my downriggers and planer mast today...

Looks GOOD....on the top of the left one it almost looks like a dollar bill is sticking up... In my garage I have a very high hip roof because some of my garage is built into the hill....that gives me a very large rafter area just above my boat with the middle of the boat area not having anything above it...this makes for two huge areas, aft and bow above my boat. While standing in my boat I can pick and choose different "stuff" for the next fishing trip all while storing the other "stuff" I don't intend to use on that trip....makes it real nice....but as always these areas collect "junk" that someday I need to address...my son now has his own home and guess where the "junk" is headed.... -
I hate to tell you Merc, but I think you been harboring a black wolf all these years.....

LOCK HIM UP....LOL...
