How many of you actually eat your catches?

In a year... roughly.... 6 bass 20 Bluegill 6 Crappie 12 or so perch 4 Rainbows (12 to 17 inch stockers) Walleye are my favorite but I don't get to target them... so none, but if they were readily available out of a small boat in my area I'd likely keep a couple limits a year. Cheers, Ryan -
Special Thanks goes out to one extremely generous, ANONYMOUS pledger who just made a $100.00 pledge to the 2010 Fish-A-Thon for Cancer! You know who you are and I can't thank you enough! Cheers, Ryan

Good Call Dan! I already got "you're doing the fish-a-thon during bayfest?" from the entire family... To me it's 9 hours on the water one day, followed by BBQ and Beers with fellow fisherpeople... then a day at the fair with my family... good weekend if you ask me!

Good Morning Folks! We've got 17 Fish-A-Thon participants confirmed!!! And a whole pile of great prizes for both the participants and eligible pledgers! We could really use some Pledge donations at this point so if any of you guys are on the fence take th plunge and make whatever sort of pledge you can afford! Every bit helps once you pool it together and it truly is a worthy cause. Thanks again for all the support OFC! Cheers, Ryan

Laser sharp makes an awesome wacky rig hook... I use it for drop shooting as well... I'll find a link when I'm on the computer rather than my phone....

Neither am I! Everybody is entitled to their opinion so no hard feelings amongst fellow OFNer's guys! I myself love the reel and have no complaints about it thus far! I have a couple of $300+ reels that were given to me as a gift and both the caenan's and citica's have a home in my boat right beside them. I've been a shimano baitcaster fan for many years but have never once knocked another brand publicly. The main reason I don't post many video's here on OFC is because I'm most likely going to get jumped on for being a spammer by somebody... despite the fact that I've been a contributing member of the board for years, and simply enjoy sharing some of my work. Cheers, Ryan -
Big Bass Rich is looking into getting us some Burgers and Hot-dogs for the BBQ again this year! Thanks buddy! If anyone else has any leads of food that'd be great! My father-in-law is looking into some meat from one of the companies he does work for as well! Cheers, Ryan
-
Thanks to Doug Hamilton for a $50.00 pledge to the Fish-A-Thon! Wish you could have made it out this year buddy!

Hair rigs are for sissies! haha I'm just to lazy to deal with them. And the exposed hook gets snagged to easy in the areas I fish... Cheers, Ryan

Hey Skinny! Here's something I pasted from a recent report I did... Keep in mind this is carping BASICS, but after trying nearly everything this seems to work just as good and for a part-time carper it's easier for me to just grab some corn.. Cheers, Ryan Locate some carp water... Chum the area with this... canned or cut of a cob rigged with 50lb Braid with a slip sinker, tied to a swivel, then a 3' fluorocarbon leader. Used 12lb this morning Cover your hook with corn Fire your bait out in the area that you chummed earlier, and wait. Notice my home-made rod-pod...also doubles as a marshmallow stick for fires lol And by 6:30 I had my first fish on.. not big, but put up a good little scrap. The release for you musky guys! lol
