  1. Nice smallie there - and sorry to hear about your gobies! My little reservoir is completely over run with the little *&^%*(&. I should start fishing them largies with goby style baits though I suppose. Lot of fun for Averie through the ice though when the panfish bite is tough. Also - I noticed the weeds seem to be dying off early in my lake this season as well. Wondering if it's because of the early start in the spring? Cheers, Ryan
  2. Cool - thanks Fishermanjohn!
  3. Another Fish-A-Thoner!!!! Welcome to the team HTHM! ( Hometown Handyman ) Looking forward to hitting the lake with you in a couple of weeks! Cheers, Ryan

  6. Well work something out with pictures! But there's plenty of panfish, stocker trout and small bass that are good for the frying pan if you're into that! Thanks again guys! Ryan

Also what size shirt are you and if you're talking to Dutchy have him let me know ASAP if he'll be able to make it! If you need a pledge form let us know! 9. Good Morning Folks! Anyone else interested? We could use a few more fish-a-thon'ers! Ron where are ya buddy? haha
  10. Bdox... I'll find out when I can and get back to you!
  11. Yeah like Frankie said, only canoe rentals, and aside from my fish-a-thon you're not allowed any gas motors on the lake. Not even trimmed up....
  12. Same as last year buddy - I e-mailed one to you and if anybody else needs one fire myself or Dan a PM. Cheers, Ryan
  13. Entry to the park is usually $10.00 but I'm trying to get them to wave that fee or at least discount it. As for the fish-a-thon there's no "entry fee" other than to try and get some pledges with your pledge form. Just like a walk-a-thon if you've ever participated in one or made a donation. The lake is about 25 minutes southeast of Tillsonburg, Ontario towards Long point. And I'll see what we can do about getting you on the water! Cheers, Ryan
  14. Special Thanks to fishingBill for making a PM donation! :thumbsup_anim:
  15. Hey Buddy! Hopefully you can make it out, not just because of the fish-a-thon but it'd be nice to actually get to see you and spend some time hanging out! Let me know ASAP! You're more than welcome to crash out here the night before if you need to! Cheers, Ryan
  16. SLACKER! Why didn't you tell me when we talked earlier? Thanks bro - very much appreciated. Remember to get me all the names and shirt sizes when you're home and have time! Cheers, Ryan
  17. Give it a look Alex! And yeah if you're wondering hte audio is out sync... You Tube has been bad for that lately.... Cheers, Ryan
  18. That is one long carp man! Good job! Hard to find a harder fighting fish in ontario! cheers, Ryan
  19. Hey Gang! I just spent the week on the road with Dave shooting some new show's, and I've been waiting for the "ok" to post this video. Being young and having kids and a wife who's still finishing her University Degree via the web makes my fishing budget a little tighter than some. That being said I can't really afford reels like curado's or chronarch's so I was pretty stoked to be able to get my hands on the prototype of this reel a few months back!!! This job of mine has to have some perks right! hehe It's a bad-ass reel, and I had to shoot some stuff for this promo but let's be honest... there's no way I wasn't going to take it out for a test run..... or two... Price tag...... Drum roll please... UNDER A HUNDRED BUCKS! I was telling MJL about it last time we talked so if you see this post, here it is buddy. I hope you like the video we put together for it! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hOXEcKGODAE Cheers, Ryan
  20. Okay hopefully I've gotten some attention from my "HELP" title. Things are going to happen much more fast and furious than I had hopped or planned. We are going to go with September 4th as our date, which means short notice and only 2 weeks to get pledges and prizes organized. Why so last minute on my end? To much on the go in my life right now which I don't really want to jump the gun on talking about, but the last thing I want to see happen is for the fish-a-thon to get passed up on it's second year. We've gotten some AWESOME prize donations to date, but are much farther behind on pledges at this time, so if you're able to make a prize donation or pledge of ANY KIND, please shoot me a PM and we'll set something up. Pledger's will have their name put into a draw for a real nice prize! Here's the deal: Date: September 4th 2010 Location: Deer Creek Conservation Area Times: 8 a.m. until 5 P.m. (for those who can make the entire day) BBQ: 5:30 We'll have a BBQ, Bonfire and Prizes ( you can bring your family and or kids as we'll have a Kids Bouncy Castle set up as well ) Prizes: There will be various prizes for Fish-A-Thon participants as well as a chance for Pledgers to win something nice. We have to wait until later in the week to decide what exactly will be given out for what and who, as we're still getting donations at this time. Fish-A-Thon participants: Need to get a pledge form from me or Dan ASAP and we'll need your T-Shirt Size. Get as many pledges as possible, and also try to get friends or family members involved. I will be on the lake the next two weeks so I'll try to zero in on some fish and figure out some patters to help get everybody into some decent catches. We'll have a tournament style day again with a chance at a prize. The later date might make the bass bite a little tougher, but the trout bite will pick up for sure with cooler temps. Lastly I started a new thread in hopes that it get's a little more love and attention if I just keep bumping it up... Here's some catches from Deer Creek. Most of the time you can't get into the lake with motors on your boats so this is an opportunity for you guys to fish a great little lake no matter the size of your vessel! Last Years Prizes and Winners: The Gang: The Lake: And the woman who caused me to start this Fish-A-Thon. Irene Anderson who passed away shortly after last years event from Cancer.
  21. Hi Frankie I'm on the road until late tonight... I'll make some calls in the morning and figure it all out. Cheers, Ryan
  22. Thanks for the replies guys! Haha Averie loves it! And yeah Frankie that's Dave's real laugh!
  23. Hey guys the tentative date is the 28th unless there isn't enough interest.... We will decide in the next day or two... Just feeling out the general consensus as I had a few guys who wanted to come from last year that couldn't do the 28th...
  24. Ok so she's not really famous, but you guys are always telling me to get her on tv and though it's not TV she did make her first cameo in a fishing vid... She's on just before the 30 second mark! you might also recognize the good lookin' dude in the black t-shirt.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dxUlf_PnTpc&feature=related Cheers, Ryan
  25. We were looking at the 28th - Dan is going to do a Poll and YES I've gotten word on the gas motor situation, and the Conversation Authority will allow gas motors on the lake (trimmed up and out of use). I'll post some pics of some quality fish caught in the lake soon. Cheers, Ryan
