Can't help you with the data argument as I'm lucky enough to have a "work phone" but I can tell you that I've had both blackberry and iPhone.... I really wish BB were better because it's a canadian company, but man they don't hold a candle to the iPhone!

haha Actually I'd like to see if I can put some patterns together to help out our Fish-A-Thoner's - I've always excluded myself from winning any of the prizes so pre-fishing is pretty pointless for me! Just get the braggin' rights! No worries Chris! Not last night anyways! haha The kids swam more than we fished.... ticket was a craw on a flippin jig off of trees last night though.... this morning it was topwater baits until I left shortly after 7 a.m. It's actually my iPad which is an upgrade from the portable DVD player we used to use..... The DVD player was great to, but it's nice not having to worry about batteries or DVD's... I love it because once the kids are done fishing and swimming and such... I just pop on a movie and I get to actually fish for a while! lol -
hard to beat a good time on the bank wrangling big old carp! Wait t'il you get into hte big guys! Good work! Cheers, Ryan

Yepp I asked TJ if we could pull the pin! I'd rather just keep bumping it up with more prize, sponsor and participant info and keep the conversations and interest up over the course of the next week!!!!! It's my ploy to try and generate more interest in the cause!!!! Keep the thread cookin' !!! Hopefully it works!!!!!! haha -
I wanted to get the kids out one evening this week and finally managed to swing it tonight... We didn't get out of the driveway until 7... At which time most 2.5 to 4.5 year olds are probably getting into their P.J.'s. lol I figure you can't trade in good memories with the kids just to make sure they stick to their bed time! Anyways, we were out from 7:15 or so until about 9:15..... Just as the fish really started to eat Mommy called and gave us a hard time about getting home! lol. I'll let the pics tell the rest... Before hitting the water we checked out the Area where we'll be hosting the Fish-a-Thon! Then we hit the water and Averie got into the gills before I even got my rod rigged... After some panfish action the kids decided they wanted to go for a quick dip... After the swim it was time to get comfy and enjoy a snack and bedtime movie while dad caught a few fish Like I said just started to get some bites as the moon came up over the horizon but it was time to call it a night Goodnight! Ryan, Averie and Luke

FISH-A-THON FOR A CURE!

Deer Creek Conservation area - has an 80 acre reservoir which is mostly a largemouth and rainbow trout fishery as far as summertime sportfish go. Also amazing bluegill fishing as well as other panfish, carp, brown trout and so on. Sometimes you have to work for big bass but there's some 7+ Pounders to be had! Here's a few pix of some of the fish caught in this great little lake! My Big largie from last year.. -
Also can't help ya out when it comes to fly fishing.... I know there's a great little fly shop right near the downtown area... used to be called Jeff's fly shop but I think the new owner changed the name to "forest city fly fishing" or something similar... if you don't already know the shop let me know and I'll find out for you..... aside from some small resident trout in the feeder streams my thoughts are that you'll be hard pressed to get into many "salmonoids", especially at this time of year.... BUT there's all kinds of great fishing to be had, and right by the university. I lived in a fraternity house on Mill St. down the road from the ceeps and know a bunch of great holes that hold smallies, pike, panfish and tons of big Carp!!! don't knock old rubber lips until you hook into a big one! Anyways, Good luck and keep us posted. Cheers, Ryan
