  1. Thanks barefoot, that does sound like a fairly good plan. Now could you give me some advice on landing a musky in a canoe!
  2. The water, fish and rod all have me drooling and on top of that it looks like I can probably come! Just one question, are the trout resident or migratory?
  3. bass pro and sail (hadn't done much looking really)
  4. I did notice some good sized carp on rice today, and also amazing numbers on simcoe a couple weeks ago.
  5. Thanks toad hunter but it can't lock to the canoe.
  6. Well it looks like it'll be wallys today, just entered port hope and on my way up 28
  7. I've already realized that but thanks for reminding me, like I said 5 minutes and duct tape, that's where all bad ideas come from, right?
  8. Not that it would be my first choice in a general camera but have you seen the ads on WFN for the Fuji outdoors camera? Looks pretty durable.
  9. Thanks fishn devil, maybe I'll just try for some walleye today.
  10. I didn't really want to get one because the only ones I've ever seen are $80. But I guess it's either that or hand trolling which you can't do in a canoe.
  11. I could probably loop the bungee over the area between the reel and rod?
  12. My idea was to have a bungee wrapped (and duct taped of coarse) to the clamp then hooked to my bail, it might give me just enough time to save my rod.
  13. You just gave me an idea about the rod coming out, thanks!
  14. Just curious, what did your post say at first?
  15. Only needs to hold the rod until a fish bites and trust me the clamp handle adds a lot of backbone, but I'll have more duct tape on hand, learned that from solo.
  16. Kind of a pointless topic, just thought that I would show off my "handyman skills." Got caught off guard when plans for tomorrow changed from trout to muskie, had a few lures that I knew would work but when fishing from a canoe I knew from experience that it's not easy trolling from a canoe, so 5 minutes later and some duct tape and this is what happens, it's actually fairly sturdy. Now to choose between south sturgeon and the trent in peterburough.
  17. Nice retouch that is one giant fish, nice catch.
  18. Change of plans, will be hitting the trent around Lindsay or Peterburough for musky and walleye (don't worry checked the regs more closely this time ) will be fishing from a canoe, anyone know if this is a good plan or should I do something else, would like to be east.
  19. If you want to make video go pro can get some great shots, the new nikons that shoot stills and video are absolutely astonishing, my dad just got one and tested it out, could shoot movies on it!
  20. It would be pretty sad to see water leaks damaging FISHING tackle
  21. He came up in a previous thread and I seem to remember everyone on th board pretty much shared their displeasure with him.
