  1. :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash: STUPID STUPID STUPID!!!!!!! NET THE FISH TO FEED YOUR FAMILY.....IS HOW IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE ....NOT TO MAKE PROFIT AND TURN AROUND AND BUY STEAK AT LOEB!!! NEXT THING YOU KNOW THERE'LL BE A MOOSE AND DEER MARKET RIGHT BESIDE THE FISH MARKET.... WHERE'S ALL THE PIKE, BASS , MUSKIES, AND COARSE FISH??? THERE NOT FOR SALE I'LL BET!! JUST WALLEYE & MAYBE WHITEFISH? THERE IN THE DUMP OFF OF HWY 17... MOOZE OR MUUKWA MIIKUN ROAD...which one I forget. RANDY [ NORTH SHORE OF LAKE NIPISSING] FROM STURGEON.
  2. Eh! The north west part of the lake is best for Pike .... like Cache Bay .....Collins Bay....and 80% of the West Arm....tons of launches. I was in a Tourney on Cache Bay last weekend [ that's why I was a no show @ Lakair] we caught 45+ fish .. average 25".. mostly on spinnerbaits... or light spoons like a williams... Orange & white seemed to work best... Good Luck...... but you shouldn't need it for Pike on Nipissing :Gonefishing: Randy from Sturgeon.
  3. Eh! You moved to North Bay... you're 35 minutes away from any species you want...fishing around here can still be challenging .... ask around and you'll get some good suggestions... Try the Sturgeon River just 20 minutes away Silver Bass are still here in reduced #'s ... Walleye is starting to pick up again ...hardly never get skunked ... as for trout head on up hwy 11 lots of fish to be had up that corridor 20+ lakes to choose from all within a quick drive from North Bay... Hwy 63 towards Temiskaming has lots of spots for Specs. :Gonefishing: Randy.
  4. Good little truck hard on gas when pushed ..same as any compact truck ... very reliable and pretty cheap to fix...Mazda B series trucks are the same ...domestic imports like this ones are cheaper to fix that most of the competition.
  5. Any Auto Parts Extra or Benson Auto Parts usually have 'em in stock, where's Mono Ontario ? I'd try to find a supplier in your area. Randy
  6. EH! Lew stowaway by Exide # st27dp700 is what you want ...don't pay more than 85 $$ I have plenty in stock are ya coming to Lakair? If you do let me know I'll put a few aside for ya. 20 minutes from Lakair. 705 753 9992 is my work # pm me for more info. Randy from Sturgeon. st= Stowaway 27= group size dp= dual purpose 700= cranking amps. :Gonefishing:
  7. the numbers on the battery are the indicator of group size..warranty amps and so on.. here goes Pick-Up Truck battery...part # 65-72.... fits most ford trucks ...#65 is group size.. # 72 is months of pro-rated warranty. same for gm 78-72 / 78dt72 / 78-60 and so on...[dt= dual terminal] a 72 month battery always has more cranking amps than the 60 or 50 usually starts at 850 cca [cold cranking amps @ 32 degrees] and 1000 ca [cranking amps peak] and works it's way down from there. Motorcycle or Snowmachine...9bs...12 Bull..20lbs are getting bigger in size as the # goes up...the letters on these batteries mean the style of terminals and being sealed or not. Same with the marine line up with one difference.. the last #'s are the amps..or reserve capacity . ST31DP850 st= Stowaway 31= Group size dp= Dual purpose 850=Cranking amps. Randy
  8. EH! I sell batteries every day...there are 3 types of marine batteries. [ excluding gel celled] #1.. Marine Cranking..available in sizes 24 / 27 / 31 intended to start a larger inboard or outboard ... not designed for running electronics for extended periods of time.. these batteries have a fast discharge.. these batteries are essentially car batteries #2 Marine Deep Cycle ...Designed for a sustained amperage draw ie: electronics, bilge pumps, aerators , trolling motors, navigation lights and such ... these batteries barely have cranking amps and not intended for starting purposes. 24 / 27 / 31 #3 Marine Dual Purpose ... in this case the best of both worlds for the average consumer.. These batteries will run your electronics all day and will start your outboard at the end of the day. the battery is designed with a reserve discharge and has cranking amps unlike the Deep Cycle... 24/27/31 these are the cheaper of all 3... I sell a Stowaway # ST27DP625 for 79.95 Everyday..made by Exide.. I also sell the Voyageur for 109.99..Made by Interstate.. I have as much warranty replacement batteries from Delco than I do Exide... alot [most] of these replacements are due to poor battery maintenance...poor winter storage is the #1 cause. Hope this helps. Randy
  9. EH! Pike; Tube Jigs in thick weeds....and silver/orange bucktail 1oz willow leaf spinnerbait tipped with a twister.... Johnson's silver minnow tipped with twister.... anything that'll keep ya above the abundant weeds works ... in deeper water the X-Rap works well. Walleye .... well .... go where all the other boats are after supper. Bring worms and jigs with a trailer hook. Was there last weekend in the rain and did pretty good...lotsa medium sized fish... nothing that was camera worthy... but alot off fun. Good Luck. Randy
  10. Any welding shop can make you a skag-guard with some washers and and 1/2 round bar... with a sharpened leading edge you won't even know it's there until you hit something....as for speed reduction and handling and gas consumption .... trivial at best. I used to have one on my 20 and 15 ...saved me some lower units & $$$ ...gonna have one made for my 30... should cost 'boot 40 $ :Gonefishing: Randy
  11. That's a glycol system... your supposed to put windshield washer fluid in those or really diluted antifreeze... they work but not as advertised ..you get more power than economy... not meant for gas engines... gas requires a spark to burn hence the Spark Plug.... Diesels ignite under compression... if you have enough combustibles in the cylinder it will burn no matter if there's water in it or not... I sell parts for a living... there are only a few products on the market that really work... I've tried and sold all of them... a Throttle body spacer so far has the best results for me and my customers. 10 mpg hwy increases in some cases on average 7mpg increase.
  12. Great purchase!! I think that 30 + mph is very good for that boat & motor combo.... I have a 2002 Tracker V-14T Superguide and a 1999 30hp Evinrude 2 stroke with a 13 pitch prop [ with flames should make me go faster].... and on GPS I get 30 by myself and gear 25mph loaded with 2 guys and gear.. Good Luck on the water.... Randy.
  13. OH Yes !!! What a Thrill !! :thumbsup_anim:
  14. Eh! In 2006 they changed the rules and made the Tournament a one day thing... This way anybody can win from the novice to the pro... This is when my wife and I sold our permanent position. Day two was always the determining day... Last year I replaced my buddy in a team and fished the one day... I'm thinking of applying for next years . The reason for the change is that there are barley any new volunteers and the ones that are there are getting up in age... cooking 2 breakfasts and throwing 2 huge parties for 450 anglers + guests gets to be hard so we were told.. It was also hard for the out of town Anglers..Friday night meeting must attend.. Saturday 8-3 ..then the party and dance..Sunday 7:30 - 2:30... then the banquet and a long drive home for some. There are 225 teams fishing it this year... I will get news from my buddies this evening and will keep you posted. In 1999 my wife and I were #1 on day 1 by 20" on day two we finished in 95th place. In 2001 we were 35th on day 1 behind by 18" and ended up 6th place in the end. Randy.
  15. Probably a practical joke from a Northerner !!! :clapping:
  16. Had I known that all you guys were at Bernies I'd a driven the 40 minutes to go get soaked with you for an afternoon.... Sounds like you had fun. Is the word " PICKEREYE" my fault ? Randy
  17. Great report Bernie, my weekend was no different.... caught fish yes but nothing for the " ole measuring device" ......sorry you will not be getting a C.D on the shuttle tomorrow... My pot remains empty... Randy.
  18. North shore is tough fishing so far this weekend.... bad weather. I just came home to dry off and will be returning to where i was last night not on Nip. while at Tim's about an hour ago I spoke to a few friends of mine that just got back from the North shore and only caught 4 and managed to keep three... not many people were catching yesterday or this morning.... small boats were getting tossed around, due to high winds rain and waves there weren't many boats out this morning. I didn't do to well on my little lake for the same reasons... caught 7 kept 3... leaving to go back very soon. :Gonefishing: Randy
  19. From Sturgeon , turn left on Algonquin , Immediate right Behind the Canada Place Mall find O'Brien you'll see a sign in his yard ... no kiddin' he's really good & cheap... sell fishin' gear too. Sorry I don't know his name or the real address but I've been there.
  20. HOLY !! Thanks Guys !! Randy
  21. My eyes aren't working I must be lookin' with my Randy Thanks in advance.
  22. Castrol Super Outboard /tcw3 rating I sell it everyday for 16.99 /gallon.. If you ask me Synthetic Injector oil is a waste of money... the oil and gas mixture doesn't spend enough time in the combustion chamber to really make a difference..now If we're talking four stroke ... Synthetic is well worth the $$$.. Burning Synthetic oil { IMHO} is burning $$$. Randy
  23. I live here and do not believe the article for one second... If last winters season is an indicator of the spring season the article is a lie... Talked to my Native buddies and they seem to be netting mostly slot sized fish..... I guess we'll find out Saturday.. Randy
  24. If it's on a Monday to a Friday from 9-5 $$$ is always available...banks are open. I've never been ripped off getting paid with a certified cheque. although I've friends that have been ripped off. Or you can insist for $$ ...if the cheque is good he can go $$ it himself.
  25. I'm in !! I think I can manage about 18 I'll try my best.. :Gonefishing: Randy
