I was asked by karl to submit an article to him regarding winter steelhead so I did. Turns out that he liked the article so he printed it in this magazine coming out. always a plessure Scott..myself i managed to hook into 10 fish this morning landing 8...no real monsters but its always nice to see the float go down followed by the head shakes of some angry steel!!!!!

I fish the 115's and have done so for a few years now...I wish I could have fished as an am but i started too early I guess..before the pro ams were around!

made it out for a couple hours and managed to do quite well...and even spoke to a C.O. first time in recent memory that I have seen one on the river. Glad he was out good to see them out and about. Managed to go 6 for 11 tonight..not bad considering that I was only out for 2.5 hours. Here's a picture of the first fish I landed..digi went for a swim after that...maybe they have a 2 for 1 sale on underwater digi's Scott. noticed tonight the fish fought a lot harder than the weekend.all this warm weatehr has a lot to do with that I'm sure. I Do have a question though for all the people lucky enough to have caught some chrome already this year... How many people are noticing that the fish seem to have more lamprey marks on them this year more than years past?

made it out this morning and managed to do quite well my brother and i landed 7 fish today and lost 3 others. Lots of guys but not a whole lot of fish considering the amount of guys. Almost brought my digital but the last 3 times i have brought i have got skunked so figured i wouldnt try something different today...looks like I'm onto something! Todd

if i was to go down there and fish out of a boat would I need a special pass? i heard that when fishing out there you need a harbour permit..is this true and where woudl I get one if i needed it? Todd

I use a small sppon with lots of flash...it falls slow and the fish can't resist it todd

I haven't been out for almost 3 weeks..its been too cold...but before that I was doing real well on the BOG...with this warmer weather coming up..I bet that if you went out this week you would do alright...wish I could..but I'm off to LONDON on Tuesday to do another show! Todd

I was beside CC in the booth when you came by...Scott said he couldn't remeber my handle on here..i think he just was tired of standing around all day ...either way that was me.

where you go is up to you...east or west...I have a tendancy to stay on the west side...you can get bait in town..as far as type of minnows I use dace NOT shinners...i alwasy use the same lure..can't really say what it it is( i mean I know but just not saying) lets call it the magic lure but with sccuggog being so shallow I like it because it falls slow and gives off some decent flash!

Made it out all day today...my brother and I hit our normal spot first thing in the morning...and got nadda for the first hour...we were smellin skunk...that quickly changed the fish showed up just like they always do just a little later is all...no real big flurries of activity but we did manage to get into 8 fish by the time we left the ice at 10. My brother got one about 3 lbs..and a couple other about 2-2.5. I caught 3..only 1 worth mentioning though. We went for breakfast in town and back out again for the evening bite.....man was it slow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I didn't touch a fish all night and the brother managed 5 but all 5 combined were about 6 lbs!!!! a few othe guys out there at night and we only saw 1 other fish landed. With this cold front moving in tonight I can probly say that fishing won't be very good this weekend...I know I'm not heading out..the brother is going out in the morning...so I will let you guys know how he made out. Sorry no pics 2 night batteries died in the camera!! Good luck all that venture out! Todd PS..i did loose a musky in the morning I'm guessing maybe 10 lbs

Made it out for the evening bite on Thursday night, action started around 4:30 and lasted till 6:25. Took 4 home, all around a pound and a half, and lost 5. The fish were hitting lite in about 6 feet of water with scattered weeds. Here's a pic of the happy angler with his catch, and yes I know I need a hair cut.
