To answer my own question...cranberry lake was on fire today..weighed in almost 17 pounds...and caught well over 30 largemouth! I just wish I lived closer to kingston!

What if I was to say that I was fishing there this weekend in the CBAF tourny too?

I take it you have a boat...try up near nogies creek ..we've got a coattage up there and we regualrly catch muskies in the 40 - 50 inch range

I'm actually talking about the lakes up towards kingston

anyone ever fish these lakes?..and if so which one is the best?

I use a 6'3 stcroix Avid spinning rod. medium power with an extra fast tip. I have it paired up with a Daiwa Excelor 1500 spinning reel. I used to use a bait cating set-up...and I'll tell you that my arm would always hurt when using the bait casting set-up...now that I have switched no problems!

sorry head lake in norland..i was fishing for walleye, but in the summer i'll be up there for a week fishing for bass.

went up there on sunday. and had a hard time. think anyone on here can give me some pointers?

I'm a member of CBAF...we started our chapter last year out of Whitby. As far as tournies go..you could probly fish a tourny a week if you wanted too...most of the tournies are on one day of the weekend. The benefit of CBAF as i can see is that once you join the federation, you are able to fish any of the chapters tournies. Its also a great way to meet some good people and perhaps your first partner!..If you have any questions drop me a PM. Todd

the reason they started the "monster" was because they play again tonight and they were planning on playing jiggy tonight...I don't disagree though that was absolutely horrible call a damn time out already!!!!

where are you from? CBAF has chapters all across ontario. If I had it to do all over again before i started fishing tournies I would have for sure joined a club and fished as a non boater for a few years. Great way way to learn things and an even better way to meet some great fisherman.

Try spider thread not spider wire they are different...new out last year made by redwing tackle. used it all year and didn't have to respool it at all..I was on the water pretty much every weekend.

I was out with floyd today and all I can say is don't waste your time..there from 8 till 4 and only caught 5 fish..everyone in the huts caught less than ten...for 50 bucks wait till he moves his huts a bit deeper
