you need to get minnows from causeway bait and tackle it's on 7A. as far as tackle...I only use 1 rod i don't bother using set lines 1 rod for jigging thats all I use. And yes you still have to park a mile away...i timed it..and it takes 35 mins to walk from the car to the spot i fish at!

I will be going out from goreskis... should be heading out around 6:30 or so...half an hour walk out so fishing by around 7...lemmie know

I caught a walleye one time on a piece of popcorn....but I sure wouldn't use it all the time!

lots of ice on the west side of the lake...I would say 10-12 inches anyway! not sure about the east side

lots of guys fish down there...they catch some pike in the bay as well as panfish

I made it out both days this weekend and did really well....went out saturday moring and managed to catch 8 fish..all around 2 lbs.....kept 4 for dinner...went back out sunday morning and landed 5... kept 3...biggest being about 3.5 lbs..lost one at the hole pushing 6lb...woulda let it go anyway but would have been nice to get a good look at it...so far for me this year the BOG as been pretty good!
