  1. I've had a magellan die on me too. Just a cheap junk, so I blamed it on that. I guess they're all garbage. Garmin and Lowrance have been good to me. Sinker
  2. If your trailer has surge brakes with a 5 prong plug, you can just plug into the 4 way on the vehicle, and leave the last hole empty. The 5th wire is for electric brakes. Sinker
  3. Yup, sounds like the battery to me too. When you say brand new, how many charges has it had? I have a nautilus charger, and although it doesn't work as it says its supposed to, it always charges my batteries. It says its supposed to start with a 10A charge, then switch to a 2A charge at 80% charged.......well, it has never gone to a 10A charge......always 2A.......but it always charges it to full. Sinker
  4. I think it was bassmastermike's boat.
  5. I like points that extend way out to deep water. Throw a mix of weeds and rocks in the mix and your set for anything that swims. Sinker
  6. I don't doubt that. I caught mine on opener out of 42FOW. Honestly, I haven't fished the kawartha's since......I'm just going by what usually works in years passed. Sinker
  7. Scuro, Thanks for the facts, but they don't really apply in Canada. Our gun laws are so strict its almost impossible for a child to get thier hands on a LEGALLY owned handgun. I know if I was being robbed......my guns would be the last thing I'd think of for defense. By the time I unlocked the locked room, unlocked the gun safe, removed the trigger lock, then unlocked the ammo and loaded up......I'd already be toast. There is absolutley no way my kids could ever gain access. Like I said earlier.....you can ban all the guns you want, but criminals will still get them, and use them. ENFORCE strict penalties for those who use them in crime, and then maybe, and only maybe, gun related crimes will drop. Sinker
  8. The only problem I have with that is once they get our handguns, our long guns are next! Your also painting all law abiding citizens as being criminals....just for owning a handgun.
  9. I don't get your point with the article? He's a legal gun owner? Its also american......google something canadian. Sinker
  10. This is the best one I have of one jumping.
  11. Width=stability For the waters you mentioned, a wide 17 footer would do, but you'd have to pick your days carefully. Sinker
  12. Bingo!! Well.....except the last part.......ANYONE caught using a gun...of any kind.....should be locked up....period. Registered/unregistered....legal/not legal......makes no difference. Get caught using a gun for ANY crime and you get locked up......no questions asked. I'd love to see some facts pertaining to how many registered guns are used in gun crimes. And how many legal gun owners are in fact charged with firearms related charges, other than improper storage/safety issues. Until then, I'll stick to my point that legal gun owners are the last people who need to be punished for owning a gun. Sinker
  13. Its obvious you have no idea about what it takes to have a legal hand gun here in Ontario.....or Canada for that matter. I'll leave it at that. Sinker
  14. I think a legal hangun owner fits that description as well. Don't you? Get caught using a gun for a crime........your done.....no questions asked. Take your rights and throw them out the window as soon as your caught. That's the only way anything will change. IMO. handgun.....long gun....whats the difference? You get caught using a gun to commit a crime......you go to jail no questions asked. Buh bye.....enjoy your stay. Sounds so easy doesn't it? Sinker
  15. I'd love to see some real proof of just how many people are killed with stolen guns........or just how many registered guns are in fact stolen. I'd be willing to bet 95% of all gun crimes are done with guns that were never registered. I am only guessing here, so don't hold me to it. The bottom line is if you take all the guns away, there will still be guns. If you actually punish those who use a gun for crime.....you might see a drop in gun related crimes. Sinker
  16. Heres an interesting link... http://www.torontothebad.com/ Sinker
  17. There is no legal hunting in Ontario with a hand gun. The only purpose for one here is to shoot people or targets. I'm totally against any more gun regulations.....it needs to start with penalties for using guns for crime. Until that happens, they can ban as many guns as they want, and nothing will change. Criminals can carry guns now, and get a slap on the wrist.....but if I have my legally owned, registered long guns in the wrong place at the wrong time......I will fry for it. What a crock of carp!! Its totally legal for me to drive my van, with an uncased, unloaded shotgun on the front seat in day light hours...........just imagine if I tried to do that thru downtown TO...... ........I'd prolly end up with a swat team on my ass!! Sinker
  18. Fish the shallow flats near river mouths. The first weeds will be shallow, and the fish are still using the current. We're still a couple weeks behind right now......this is how it should be for opener. Shallow running cranks over any weeds you can find should get you some fish. Nice fish you got there though.....What kind of structure did you find her in? Sinker
  19. Make that an illegal hand gun, and I'm all for it. Get caught using any gun for crime........say hello to your new room mate......"Bubba". Sinker
  20. Not bad for a retnek I've never tried a jighead like that........might just have to give them a shot. Sinker
  21. If you really want to catch a big fish......leave the camera at home......it works everytime!!! Sinker
  22. It can't hurt!! I love the stuff.....whether its actually doing me any good I don't really know.....but I haven't had any issues whatsoever. Sinker
  23. Yes. Fluoroclear is a fluorocarbon coated copolymer. It gives the invisible characteristics of pure fluoro, and the strength and durability of copolymers. I find it has better knot strength, and doesn't have as much memory. I find pure fluoro is a little too stiff for me, and it frays if you cast it too much. The fluoro clear is much softer, but still nearly invisible, abrasion resistant......and it hasn't frayed on me yet. Its cheaper than pure fluoro as well Keep in mind, I"m only using it in 2-8lb test. For higher test fluoro, as a leader, I use Seaguar, and buy it in 25m spools. If I need anything more than 8lb line, I'm fishing for fish with teeth, and I use braid with a heavy fluoro leader. Sinker
