If your set on cleaning it, a wire brush, or wheel, or sandpaper will clean it up, but if its fairly dirty(corroded) it might not ever work the same.
-
Yep, just change it Meely. You might get away with cleaning the contacts, but it will let you down again sooner than later. It will last you another 20yrs. When you puut it away, give the switch a light shot of WD, or oil. S.

Well, if its pumping water good, it should spit any of those bits out. Just hope you cleaned. As much out as you could before installing new impellor, because if any bits are in there it could lead to trouble down the road. S.

Sometimes the tarnished spoons work the best. I've even had days where taking a lighter to my spoon, and blackening it up, was the difference between a great day and a skunk. I've never tried any type of cleaner, but I'd be a little leary of that myself. Just make sure the hooks aren't rusty, and they're sharp! S.

You know you're hooked on Bass fishing when...

You can't catch fish with teeth! -
I'm a lowrance guy. Always have been. I've never had any serious problems. I've replaced a few transducers, but that's to be expected. I have a brand new lowrance I need to install. I have used birds as well, I'm just familiar with settings and buttons on lowrance units. They all work good. S.

I'm going to try it the next time I'm running water. Sorry for the "Saga", Meely, but there is some useful information here somewhere S

Fish and Wildlife Conservation Act section 13
Sinker replied to redpearl99's topic in General Discussion
What is YOUR definition of harrassment? This section has been around for a long time, and I've tried to have a person chrged with it for interfering with a hunt, but the cops wouldn't persuue it, because they'd never heard of it lol. The person has to pretty much put themselves in your line of fire, or throw rocks at you as your fishing for it to be enforced. I even tried tried in on the cops for interfering our legal hunt one time. They had no right to be on the property, and absolutly no right to draw guns on us! The swat team was totally un-called for too! S. -
So essentially your cyphoning water from your well through the pump? Interesting. I never would have thought that would work. Is there a trick to finding the "sweet spot"? That muust take some trial and error? Btw, I've never lost a pump, or pressure switch, and I've had all kinds of stuff happen where the pump has run for loooooong periods, a couple times with no water lol. Maybe I'm just lucky, but I'll take lucky over good any day S.

New, to me, boat. Maiden voyage photos added

Congrats Rob. Not a bad rig, but the tiller model of that boat is much nicer Did Rizzo keep the bowmount? Your gonna have to go shopping asap! S. -
I don't understand what your saying wayne. Where do you get pressure from if the pump runs continuously? Mine cycles on/off, and I've filled my pool as many times as you have I bet! I also water the gardens, and sometimes even the lawn. I turn the water on, pressure starts to slowly drop at pump, pump kicks on at 20psi, no change in water pressure, pressure in tank rises to 40psi, pump shuts off(and cools), water is still running, pressure drops below 20psi, pump kicks on. I'd say, while filling the pool, my pump kicks on for 5 mins(maybe not even that long) and when it shuts off, its stopped for 15mins. Pump doesn't even get warm. Unless we're talking a different kind of pump, or set up, that's the only way it will work with a jet pump. Correct me if I'm wrong. S.

I've all but given up on the whities. Kawartha walleye open this weekend too;) S.

I'm with davey buoy, insurance is the biggest scam going. You pay for it your whole life on just about everything you own, but when you actually need it, they still bend you over and try to screw you any way they can, and then raise your rates! Its criminal!

If you want to catch something cool, try the sturgeon on the fraser. You can catch all the salmon you want right here at home. I fished with STS guiding service out of chilliwak and had an amazing day of fishing. Well worth the money spent. Awesome equipment, and amazing boat! Get a few people from the wedding and book a group. Its one of the only places they measure fish in feet, not inches S.

Your pressure tank shouldn't have anything to do with it. You have a contact problem, either in your switch, or the pressure switch. To check the pressure tank, turn off pump, run water until it stops flowing, then check pressuure in tank. It should be 2lbs less than your on pressure. (18 or 28lbs, depending on which pressure switch you have) A drowned tank is common, but usually only causes reduced pressure to the system, not issues with the pump cycling on/off. I'd bet my pay check its the pressure switch. Have you ever replaced it? S.

Is this weir in place to capture smolting atlantics? Are they going to be marked, or tagged in some way? Where exactly is it? I assume downstream of the forks, but above hwy 2? I might have to go check it out. Is it anything like the trap that was in cobourg, or is this a permanent struucture? Pics would be great if you have any.... S.

Personally, I like to eat the 8-10"ers best. I catch lots bigger, and eat them too, but those 8-10"erss are sweet! I find crappies one of the easiest fish to fillet too. I did 30 a couple weeks ago in less than an hour, packaged and in the freezer. YUM! S

Thanks for sharing. Wear a life jacket, AND learn to swim. It could save your brothers life as well as yours, or anyone elses. S.

Also check to make sure the hole drilled under your graph was sealed properly. That's where my buds biggest problem with the panel came from. The dealer drilled a huge hole thru the ledge, ran the wires thru, and didn't seal it, so any water that hit the ledge went down the hole, right into the electrical panel. Its also a good idea to drill a drain hole inside the electrical panel box so it will drain. The way its set up, if water gets in there, it can't get out, and rots out the inside of the panel. Have a look at yours and see if its wet. My bud had to have his replaced under warranty. S.

Can't you balance any rod with the right reel? I dunno, you guys can use your fancy stuff. My mixed bag of gear works fine. You'd probably laugh at some of my gear, but the bottom line is I catch fish Its not the rods that do the catching. S.
-
Your reading the regs too much dude. No size limit in 17. Go get 'em! S.
-
A buddy of mine has the 16fter. Nice rig. Seal the drain hole in the cup holder on the port side. The water leaks down into the electrical panel and causes gremlins in there. I see the 14 doesn't have the cup holders, so no issues there. Other than that, she's a great rig. S.
-
Meh......I'm of the opinion that if a person knows how to catch fish, any decent rod will do. I don't get caught up in the fancy high end stuff. I do fine without it. S.
-
Where did these Dobyns rods come from? Sounds like a new fad to me. How long they been around for? Long enough to be proven worthy yet? S.

Well, I won't drive to the vaughn mills location, so you can forget about NOTL. I'll keep buying from my local small guy who gets me everything I need, usually cheaper than BPS and always has fresh coffee waiting
