  1. fished there many many times (targetted bass every time) but i have never caught a walleye on six mile
  2. thanks guys it was a lot of fun. couldnt afford to go for sailfish, but yes there are LOTS of bonefish .... schools of 20-40 of them, but I couldnt hook one. Maybe fly fishers would do well for them. The tattoo is the G.Loomis logo, but its not meant to be like that. My cousin had the same tattoo and he was killed two years ago, so I got it without hesitation. Mark just happened to have the same one.
  3. Well as some of you may know, I was in Costa Rica for the past couple weeks volunteering at a wildlife sanctuary. I spent my time there assisting with the animals and aiding in the construction of new parts of the sanctuary. It was hot, and I'll admit this snow sucks, and I dont like being back in it lol. But we had a blast down there, the animals were fun. The construction work was exhausting, but we got through it. We also had a LOT of time to have some fun, and do a bit of fishing. Mark hauling some wood Baby anteater that was rescued one armed monkey, hes a sweetheart having a bit too much fun jumping the waterfall in Montezuma and the fishing .... first cast not sure what this is nice snapper Overall we caught a lot of snapper and little jacks. I lost a big tuna and a roosterfish, my equipment wasnt exactly big game equipment, but what ca ya do? we had fun. The snapper were delcious by the way. Wrapped in banana leaves and cooked over the fire.
  4. nice job man
  5. thats okay ry, i didnt want to go anyways
  6. Curado's are awesome reels, but you'll want a bigger profile reel for burning big baits
  7. With the equipment I need to bring down, I have very little space for tackle, so I can only bring a small selection... i have a few rapala jerkbaits, some topwaters, and pink tubes (shrimp?) I hope to tie into a few fish at least
  8. Well everyone, on tuesday morning i'll be heading to Costa Rica for two weeks to volunteer to help build a wildlife sanctuary on the pacific coast. I'm bringing some rods down to make some casts from shore. Anyone been there before or have any suggestions for baits etc.
  9. nicely done!
  10. Best of luck ... the perch are deep ... literally 50-80 feet
  11. not used to the gap of the hut lol
  12. it depends on the situation. Sitting on a dock with a float and worm, is leisure. Getting off work at 11pm, towing the boat to Vermont for a tournament, catching an hour of sleep in the launch parking lot, and then fishing hard for 8 hours is a sport. Pro fishermen beat their bodies up out there, they are athletes in my books. i stretch before a tournament
  13. just a quick video i put together of two whities caught on film up at nipissing this season. 3 lbs test!
